well, lots of people posted that there wasn't any plot developement in the recent chapter. i have kind of a feeling that kabuto gave an important hint when he said Itachi "never told a single truth" before he died
it could be just kabuto manipulating or simply imagination or whatever... and it may seem a little wierd at first but if you think about it, it will make some sense
anyways:
maybe itachis wish for peace was strong enough to make him tobi's partner and executing a part of the moon's eye plan... (shisui's dreams and so on)
every one knows that itachi was the source of sasuke's hatred and made him seeking for power.
what if the purpose of that was to make sasuke strong in order to play his role in this whole thing? since sasuke is part of tobi's plan.
itachi allready admitted that he failed, but he may have made things even worse...
for a while itachi followed that dream ... until he met naruto :naruto:
that's when he realised that there is another way to achieve peace!
he put his trust in naruto and tried to get rid of tobi. he didn't want sasuke to trust tobi and programmed the MS to atack him with amaterasu. failed again
i don't think that would make itachi a bad guy since he realised his failure during lifetime and was willing to change it.
i really think that would fit into the storyline, although it can't be proven right yet
what do you guys think?
