That is a technique which involves the use of chakra. Again that is a different subject, however the only page that support a possible change in the mirros's shape is that we have seen it in a circle shape. Later we saw it in a semi circle shape. A circle and a semi circle are two different shapes, but this could also be argued as a size manipulation because it hasnt reached its intended size to become a circle (if that makes sense)



I did however it needed clarification and support from sources instead of people just coming out and saying it without any source to back them up

I disagree manipulating chakra and shape manipulation of the yata mirror are basically the same principles their both changing their forms into the the object or manipulated vform they want it to be, as you said before itachi probably changed the shape of the yata mirror to changto fit sussano so shape manipulation appliesbto yata mirror

then why kishi never showed itachi use this with his bare hands or something like that.. it would be convinient for itachi to use the yata mirror without susanoo.

I'm guessing ethereal weapons = cannot be held physically

therefor only an entity like a susanoo can wield it.

only kishi knows...
