[Theory] Itachi's Gift To Naruto was a way to Unlock the Rinnegan?? Perhaps?

Itachi stated he hopes Naruto would never have to use it, so most likely it's something that may affect Naruto or Sasuke, which Itachi doesn't want to happen so can't be Rinnegan or Sharingan.
I'm pretty sure Itachi hoped Sasuke didn't go on Tobi side and attack Konoho and if he did, he knew Naruto would confront him and if things got messy knowing the way Naruto is and trying to protect him like he said to Itachi, "I would protect both Konoho and Sasuke." So if Naruto fails it maybe something that affects Sasuke (The Truth, Blindness, affect Sharingan, or maybe even death).

The theory that Tobi is Obito; only thing suggesting that is that their names are comprised of the same letters ( except one radical 'o'). I doubt highly that it's Obito... a 13 y/o coming back from the grave hell bent on destroying the world? Perlease.
Also, if naruto did get rinnegan it'd be an epic fail. He's worked so hard to get to his current ability level, why give him an unnecessary and unwanted power boost in the form of an eye when he doesn't need it? He can rapidly dispell genjustu in his controlled chakra mode. He can break through barriers. Tsukyumi would probably not work. Amaterasu would probably turn into water or something when confronted with yang chakra, or even white flame. Even still it wouldn't actually touch Naruto, it'd touch the chakra around his body.
Susanoo offers protection and a way of sealing which I highly doubt would affect naruto.

Never heard of it. Oh well, im guessing its MS that is ETERNAL. which doesnt make sense because sasuke already has the ms...for his whole life...which means its eternal...im confusing myself nevermind

....... well..... i think it was others fault that they didnt tell him about the whole story behind the maracas.... he should have been told the truth by elders or even itachi..... if he knew that madara would try to contact him and planed on placing an amaterasu... why didnt he just tell him the truth.... he just screwed.... he thought he could take him out with an amaterasu.... plz....

Oh well, we can only hope that Itachi will show up in their final battle and convice Sasuke to stop being evil...if that's possible. I like...can't picture Sasuke being non-evil again, and then going back to the leaf village lol its not gonna happenthat would ruin his pretty face
I don't get why people think Naruto will get Rinnegan. There isn't too much time in the manga, and he hasn't finished mastering his chakra modes and TBB Rasengan. The point is, that it'd be useless as he'll never master it. Not to mention his eyes would look weird as hell. Just like people say that he'll get a second element, but for what purpose, SRS (suiton rasenshuriken)?
I can't think of a single KG, bloodline expansion, or Rinnegan that was learned at such a mature age, without first presenting at the average genin age 10-12 years or younger.
Besides, the point is to bring about peace and ending the cycle of hatred that comprises the ninja system, which began with the father's two sons (one in body (Naruto), the other one in his eyes (Sasuke) ), fighting over succession of the So6P. As much as Madara is manipulating their fight, it really is one of destiny in my mind that only Naruto can bring to an end.
Regarding Sasuke, I think he might choose a self-imposed exile and maybe start a village as some way to atone for his actions; however, I don't think he can come back to Konoha and be happy and/or treated well because of his actions in Shipuuden.
Training with Orochimaru is one thing, but he assaulted Bee, maimed the Raikage, fought other Kage, killed samurai, as well as killing off the acting Hokage, Danzou. Given all that, and we know he's just warming up. Imagine what he'd or will do on the battlefield.

omg y would itachi have the rinnigan in the first place idk if u noticed but we never seen itachi waken the rinnigan and y is that bc itachi is a uchiha dude not an uzumaki if anythin naruto most likely get the sharingan in his own style for a short period of time and as for the rinnigan he might get it from being the next so6p
