Kinda peculiar that Izanami hasn't been used yet, if we're to assume it even exists...I wonder if Izanami is actually maybe a Rinnegan technique or isnt a dojutsu based technique at all...

That might even be what Itachi gave to Naruto...
since Izanagi gives life technically...
Izanami is probably the exact opposite...hence why Itachi hoped Naruto would never need it...

Kishi would have to fill in the gaps as to how this would even work or make sense...but thats my prediction

That would make a lot of sense. If izanagi is the ocular jutsu then it is possible izanami is the body counterpart, itd fit well into the story line with Naruto having no ocular powers and being a Senju relative.

No, izanagi utilises ones yin and yang chakra to first make a realistic illusion and then make it a physical substance.

You should at least know that in Japanese mythology, Izanami, is a goddess of both creation and death, as well as the former wife of the god Izanagi.

I think one would have to look at the original legend of Izanagi and Izanami to find clues or something to that effect...
Izanagi went to the cave of the dead to bring Izanami back from the underworld, but when he saw what Izanami had become, he ran from the cave and sealed it, trapping Izanami forever.
Izanagi is a way to "escape death", so perhaps Izanami is the destructive life-taking counterpart that can even undo Izanagi. I don't imagine Naruto being able to use something like that, but Sasuke might decide to betray Madara and use the old "deus ex machina" to suddenly learn Izanami and destroy Madara.

Lots of the eye techniques in Naruto weren't known of before they were used. For example, nobody knew that one could extinguish Amaterasu's flames with their eyes before Sasuke did it to save the tentacle pretending to be Kira Bii. This led to the creation of Kagutsuchi, a jutsu named for the God of Fire.

I believe that Izanami would possibly be revealed to be "that jutsu" later on in the manga. If you remember correctly, J-man stated that he almost died in that fight with Naruto when they went away for 3 years. Is it not possible that Naruto may have brought J-man back from near death (big giant swirl in J-man's stomach looks like it was healed by jutsu, not natural) almost sacrificing his life in the process, and the reason that Naruto didn't get to learn as much jutsu as possible was due to him not having the energy to due so? Almost like a temporary chakra coma (jk). Or possibly that J-man and Naruto after awhile worked on him honing Izanami for its later use?
