Itachi's BIGGEST mistake

Hey guys...We all know that Itachi has like unrivaled intellect and all that and personally he's in my Top 5...but he had this elaborate plan to convince Sasuke to protect Konoha by casting him in Shisui's genjustu:

Why the hell would he use it on himself instead of leaving it within Naruto to be used in their final bout, making it easier to the Naruto universe to subdue Sasuke? :flaw: I feel like Itachi didnt messed up his own plan...he knew Naruto and Sasuke would meet one day, and call me crazy but I do think Naruto and Bee couldve somehow beat Itachi and Nagato or at least retreated or something...so why Itachi why? :shrug:

If it wasn't for Itachi Nagato would've probably hurt them pretty bad, include Itachi to the enemy side and Naruto and Bee would've been captured for sure.

Itachi had no control over the matter. the crow was set to respond to his eyes, which he assumed Sasuke would take. He was not expecting to face naruto again

It could be that maybe he wanted to see how much Naruto developed? I mean it could also be that he would want to talk to Sasuke into not going against the Leaf village and acutally help Naruto and company to defeating Tobi and Madara plus more.

Plus you are talking about some of the 2 most power fullest characters in Naruto, so it would be really hard for Naruto and Bee to even kill them.

Itachi didn't mean for the genjutsu to be used on himself. The genjutsu that he put inside Naruto was set to activate when Naruto saw Itachi's sharingan. See, Itachi knew that Sasuke would implant his eyes and then when he and naruto finally met Shisui's eye would activate. But Itachi could have never predicted that he would be rvived with edo tensei before naruto and sasuke met.

so now itachi try take kabuto down i think and stop edo tensei jutsu! so if itachi can stop edo tensei then madara and all edos disappears.. and there is only tobi, sasuke and kabuto vs kages, bee and naruto!!! so its make sense he use that himself

Itachi came to know about Sasuke being a dumbass and now having EMS and joining forces with Tobi he would destroy not only konoha but also the world, there is no way Naruto and Bee could beat a healthy Nagato and Itachi and he knew it himself , he did the right thing by using the genjutsu on him as then he stated he would deal with Kabuto and Naruto should deal with Tobi. Although thing's didn't go as he planned but still he is a genius.

he didnt make a mistake he just didnt expect to face naruto and i wouldnt say he is unrivaled intellect. Madara, Jman, Minato,Tobi and possbily even kakashi.

In my eyes there isnt one person in naruto who could beat nagato (Youth State) in a fight. It took three people to take him out, cummon peps alot of people are hating on nagato in general.

After itachi died, sasuke would have had no reason to be a missing nin anymore...Tobi fked that up , Just in case, he implanted shishui's eyes......Kabuto fked that up

Anyway...I'm thinking about it now...and it does make sense that through Edo tensei, Itachi would be forced to use his sharingan and the crow was set to automatically react

He wanted Sasuke to take his eyes so he will have the EMS because he knew a war was coming. His plan was to let Sasuke have his eyes(thus making Sasuke immune to blindness) then when he used his eyes vs Naruto he would then be forced to protect Konoha. Obviously vs Tobi. His plan failed because Tobi knew about Itachi's sacrifice with his clan. Which Itachi never wanted Sasuke to know or else he would seek revenge against Konoha. This is ultimately why he left the crow with Naruto.

The actual question your asking though is very simple. Itachi wasn't in control of his body when he used his MS. Itachi obviously knew he was about to use Ama so he said "lets see what happens" but remember his body wasn't in his control, only his mind. Then the crow popped out and Shisui's eye placed an genjutsu on Itachi breaking the control. It was just luck, and bad luck at the same time.

Despite the interferences ......All his plans would have theoretically worked...If tobi didn't have izanagi, he would have died by the amaterasu flames itachi set form him,Once again , something itachi couldn't account for

even minato's plan 4 naruto would have fail if not for iruka & bee. Madara's plan too have failed and will still fail. Well it's for the purpose of plot.
