Or you know... susanoo? Not that it was ever confirmed he had it in pt1, he did have his mangekyo though. Itachi has a much better chance of beating gai without dying than gai does of beating itachi without dying. Even if he doesn't go 8th gate I doubt he'll be fighting without looking at itachi at higher gate speeds. Even then, Gais plan was not looking at his eyes. Without looking at itachis eyes how exactly does gai avoid ama?

Itachi barely got through that day in P1 without needing rest after using his MS or 3 times, but you say he has a much better chance to win than Gai without dying? You can't be serious dude.
