It was because you equated the adults of the Uchiha to the adults of the Holocaust (who did not cause the deaths of their own children).





I think the opposite. Standing with people you know are wrong and reject peaceful options and opting to be slaughtered with them which leads to no hope for the Uchiha at all is cowardly. It's the easy way out and saves nothing, only brings destruction.

Like he said in today's ep "I looked at situations from both the eyes of the Uchiha clan and village. To this day, I don't know whether I was a spy to the village or the Uchiha entirely."

Fugaku also knew damn well that Itachi cared about the Uchiha and knew he saw a future for them through Sasuke. Fugaku himself knew the coup was wrong as did his wife, they just didn't have the guts to go against the clan- this caused a domino effect which was unnecessary.

If your point is not what you stated in the title, you admit that Itachi had justifications for what he did, then your only claim is that what he did is wrong in basis.

Siding with his clan would have left him, the Uchiha clan (including those unknowing children) and countless others dead in the following war.

Using KA on Danzo would have prevented nothing, the Uchiha clan was determined to take over the village while Danzo was only determined to stop them before they could. Stopping him doesn't stop the Uchiha or what happens after.

When Madara's (a far more powerful leader of the Uchiha) interests conflicted with the rest of the clans interests they disregarded his opinion and decided to make peace with the senju clan. The idea that using KA on Fugaku would have stopped the Uchiha from attempting a coup when they were still angry and facing discrimination is nothing more than wishful thinking.

The clans cause may have been just but their method or resolving the problem was not. Destroying the peace of the village and risking a great war for their clan is not just. The just way would have been to negotiate and work with the already willing Hokage to end the Uchiha discrimination.

You can call him a traitor but the fact is the Uchiha were doomed either way and he chose the only path that would save the clan and it's name.

It's fine to hate the character but making up or twisting the facts and creating scenarios that wouldn't have worked to hate him are all pretty poor reasons to do it.

So, let me guess, they would been killed anyway, so I should side with the corrupt axoim and Juggernauts of the village that have committed nothing but despicably heinous acts and are about to add my family on the list? How noble. He had a choice. He could have made the council’s intentions clear. You are also forgetting that Itachi willingly betrayed his clan by carrying out espionage duties on his own family. Without his intel, the council wouldn’t have known anything.

They had marginalized a founding clan beyond belief. That is how revolutions happen; political oppression. All Hirzuen had to do was make Fugaku a Hokage under good will, and their anger would have been suppressed. They didn’t want to. It is pretty obvious how they sidelined them and literally pushed them out of the village on Tobirama’s whims. If you haven’t noticed, the entire top brass comprised of his trusted people. The man was full of loathing for the clan and he planned out the entire future based on his Predilections for not letting things go.

Itachi knew all of this. He was just an indoctrinated, governmental lapdog. There is no honor or heroism in the stunt he pulled. He was just another monster Leaf used to wash clean its hands of their own created mess.

That is what you think. As I explained above, without his treacherous intel; no one would have even known of the plan. He sold out his own clan for his own agendas; he was just a hardliner and a zealot. A political bigot. Nothing will change that.

Because Itachi was supposed to be villain - not hero. Bad writing
The scary thing is, there are actually people who defend his stupidity and think he is a genius when he is obviously a complete retard

Itachi was a Good villain but Kishi turned him in a complete retard when pulled this bullshit that he was a good guy who only wanted to "protect his brother" through torturing and abusing Sasuke and slaughtered his family in front of him.
He mentally and emotionally tortured Sasuke yet expected him to turn out well adjusted. He intended to have him kill his friend, leading him to be a murderer and traitor, but expected this to turn him into a hero for Konoha.

it's obvious that itachi's entire character is only based on retcons.


Not to mention Itachi helped to kill six Jinchuuriki when he collaborated to extract their Bijuus to put in Gedo Mazo during akatsuki's reunions.
Itachi also has much more fault in Kazekage's death
He helped to Kill Gaara when his clone prevented the rescue Team to reach and rescue Gaara and save his life


Itachi become in a even worse criminal with his participation in Akatsuki.


This just turns the whole thing about "saint" and "hero" Itachi more laughable

Itachi is an international criminal, a member of the Akatsuki, he assisted Tobi in apprehending and extracting the Biju out of their Jinchuriki. He massacred the Uchiha in cold blood with no moral qualms, he probably also killed children and innocent bystanders who weren't involved in the Coup d'etat.

He's just like Danzo, they're both villains, they killed innocent lives and justified themselves for their ideals and selfish ends.

Itachi is just a piece of shit brother and despicable human being with no moral compasses.
