[Discussion] itachi was not shisui's best friend?

itachi killed shisui to get MS right and it was common knowledge that itachi looked up to shisui, but shisui was shown in the manga with his MS already activated. does that mean itachi wasnt one of shisui's best friends, or do yall think he activated it like in some unkown way like kakashi did?

my theory is there are multiple ways to get the MS and all of involve losing someone close to you wether u kill them or not.

i think its a logical next step since to activate the sharingan, u have to be in a life threatening situation. and to get EMS u have to take ur brother's eyes i dont think the EMS condition is negotiable lol.

how you activate it is the same kill someone closest to you especially if your an uchiha blood thats how they all got it. madara , izuna, shisui, itachi and sasuke got MS from killing someone close to them.

i thought about that. and what i came up with is kakashi awakened his MS because when obito died he promised to take care of rin. and he couldnt letting her die aswelll as obito. very depressed about that he prolly blamed himself for killing both of them. being that obito is from the uchiha clan his eye could have been special.

Yea, kakashi once said that everyone close to him was already dead, so i think it probably has something to do with this

Itachi didn't Kill Shisui and Sasuke didn't kill Itachi.
I think you meant someone close to you has to die, not you have to kill the person closest to you.

This but also MS can of course be awoken through hard work by those with the talent to do so.
If it really were as simple as killing a loved one,more of the Uchiha would have MS. As far as we know,Itachi was lying when he said that to try and make Sasuke want to kill him.

IMO it seems to you can unlock the MS through intense emotions.

Itachi having to choose between his Clan and the Village, having Sasuke hate him, people looking at him as a criminal.

Itachi told Sasu ke that he had to to kill his bestfriend to awaken MS so that Sasuke would get as powerful as Itachi. Pretty much Everything Itachi has said to Sasuke is a lie. Could you imagine how Sasuke would've felt had he killed Naruto in Orochimarus lair, and he didn't awaken MS?
