you should leave genjutsu as an arguement, genjutsu will not work on puppets, sasori needs to directly look at itachi. which he cant do as he has no eye. it is visual genjutsu

Totally agree. Although there are other methods of genjutsu casting. I guess Itachi would need to make physical contact with Sasori for this, however, and that would be risky.

i was thinking more on the lines of its gas it can go through sasannoo just like itachi is able to breath air inside his susanno.

Itachi is rooted to the ground inside susaano? what are you talking about? susanno users can walk out , jump out , leave susanno at any time, and make it follow them,

although it will have a lag effect... with poison all he has to do is hold his breath obviously... sakura did it

He leaves Susanno'o then gets hit by poison darts, either way hes getting poisoned IMO.

Theoretically, but if sight won't work, what other method can Itachi use? Touching, I guess, or maybe it's possible to cast a genjutsu directly on the core by looking on it. I don't think we have any proof of that, however, so it should be thrown aside for now.

EVEN IF ITACHI IS ABLE TO USE IT... he wont use it in this fight cos he would lose his sharingan... remember when they use izanagi the sharingan its used up and the eye its closed up D: ! so i doubt itachi would be take that risk only to get away from one poison or other attack.. because if he lose the sharingan... he give up in all the other ocular jutsus..ie amateratsu, Susano'o etc. well just a tought =/

you cant put genjutsu just by looking at, jiraya's ma pa genjutsu also useless, has no ears.

Since we are going by databooks.
Itachi's stamina is 2.5
Compared to Sasori's 5.

If Sasori can keep the fight going, even if he switches puppets.
Let's say this. Knowing the circumstances, he opens in hiruko.
Then he is in his body, knowing that itachi would go straight for him with amaterasu, why not switch beofrehand so that his puppet body does not get destroyed.

Meaning that, sasori lengthens the fight by dodging and switching puppets.
While taking out the third kazekage.

This would mean Itachi would have to go on the defensive.
Iron sand is faster than gaara's sand.
And can be used to hold down susano'os arms.

Then using the iron sand to drag itachi out, just like gaara did to madara.
Even though Oonoki sped it up.
Im guessing iron sand is either as fast as it or almost as fast.


If the battle goes down too long, and itachi has to play defense too long.
because of the iron sand and running the risk of getting poisoned.

If he uses his sharingan abilties too much it also affects his eyes greatly, causing vision blurriness.

If sasori can just switch puppets , and keep it up.

how do they get pass sasunoo

in the case sasori get to use all his puppets.... simply wait for itachi to run out of chakra... remember the amount of chakra susano'o use... can u imagine to finish off 100 puppets with susano'o? how many arrows? how many amateratsu? how many defense he has to go all truh? IF sasori its able to use all his puppets itachi its done for =/
