But I do agree with you on most points.

I'm just saying, that we have never seen itachi trully fight....

He was sick, and he wanted to die, he had plenty of opportunities to kill.

Itachi would need to think fast cause of his significantly small chakra pool.

Itachi could keep an entire squad of ninja at bay with a portion of his chakra, plus use the Susano'o. Neither of which can be done by a ninja with low chakra. In a healthy state, this would not be a battle determined by who runs out of chakra first, either A or Itachi would kill one another before that happened.
