I think that in order to be effective on Nagato, it has to be either A or S rank genjutsu, Nagato was a master of chakra control, and basic genjutsu is a walk in the park. Anything less than Koto Amatsukami, Tsukiyomi, or Jiraiya's special genjutsu will get you one thing, buried in Amegakure, to be used as a Tendo for Nagato, although Itachi would make a nice human path, lol

he does not need tsukiyomi dude he got bee with regular genjutsu and even that took him a perfect jinchurki a few seconds to break out of. genjutsu is basically have one purpose it is just the lvl at which is used is important making them able to manipulate it to various degrees but its objective is the same disturb the chakra of the person and it has clearly been shown by jiraya that u can put the paths in genjutsu

i never said he can break out.wats the point in attacking 1 body with tsukoyomi when it doesnt even affect nagato and the other bodies can still attack.the bodies dont see at all. nagato does he sees through them and guess what 3 of them werent even in the genjutsu including nagato. listen and learn. nagato activates the bodies and their minds thru chakra. u say he is caught if bodies are caught when clearly we were shown the opposite he is not caught only the bodies chakra activated minds being targeted are. not nagato's mind. nagato wud be able 2 see thru the ones in genjutsu and the ones not in it.

what if Nagato is hiding like Naruto case and then he stops Pain chakra flow and then restore it then Itachi is fcked.

itachi would make an amazing path lol. Itachi is a master of genjutsu and many of his genjutsu does not even have ranks but they are high lvl since they easily get skilled shinobi.He was said to be the best genjutsu user of the uchiha cla after shisui so his techs shoen so far are probably A-to S rank since one of them even got killerbee and even the hachibi had a hard time breaking the jutsu who is a perfect jinchurki. it will definitely slow and maybe immoblize the paths but he can also rely on tsukiyomi if he needed to.
Ppl seriously need to stop with fanboy comments and off hand post, we're all sitting at a computer screen debating about our favorite characters in a hypothetical fight, and some ppl have been at it for hours, even a day or two.
Lets keep it classy ppl, there is no need to insult another person over what is basically a popularity contest, we watch Naruto, we're all Naruto fanboys...and girls, so lets keep all nasty remarks to ones self, it is pathetic to hear fanboys call other ppl fanboys, stupid really, so lets just debate and agree on one thing, that Naruto is an awesome show.
regular genjustu can easily be broken by a rinnegan user and he has 3 tysukamis before his chakra runs out and thats a healthy itachi so go on just spam it on 3 paths he will run out of chakra his best bet is to stay back with the totsuka with his susanno but then deva can fly in the air and do ultimate shinra tensei or chibaku tensei while the others summon animals and get his preta path to absorb susanoo
then why did he not stop it during jiraya's fight no he couldn't that is probably why. he was trying to kill jman but he fell to genjutsu and if it is easy he would have probably done it.
