jiraiya's hermit genjutsu was, in a sense, more dangerous than tsukuyomi. tsukuyomi is done with eye contact between the 2 fighters, while the hermit genjutsu can be applied just from sound. it's easy to avoid eye contact but avoiding sound?.......that's a different story.

Itachi will win
simply Amaterasu,even deva can't repel it!!!
maybe Deva will repel it for the first second but Amaterasu it will keep active till the user turn it off.
Susanoo,Itachi with Susanoo is completely invincible and it's not a physical or Ninja technique it's spiritual which can't be absorbed by Pain or repelled
Tsukuyomi,no need to explain it's clearly obvious that Tsukuyomi is the most powerful Genjutsu and forsure Pain will fall to it
Suicidal clone (a.k.a Clone Great Explosion) it will be perfect that if Itachi sand it to the six pain and exploded it on them
I don't know Genjutsu that based on sound can be avoided but if I remember the fight between Shikamaru and Tayuya(one of Orochimaru's subordinates),Shikamaru broke her Genjutsu which based on sound by hurting himself,while Itachi's Genjutsu can't be broke only Mangekyo Sharingan user can resist it
I'm not saying Jiraiya's Genjutsu is weak but Tsukuyomi or Itachi's Genjutsu is better than Jiraiya's,but as we can see Pain's weakness is Genjutsu.
btw Itachi has many methods to trap the opponent to his Genjutsu not only Eye contact (re-read the mange chapters when Itachi tappred Naruto).

they still have to get near pain in the first place

Pein is affected by Genjutsu probably because when the bodys are hit with it Nagato is too.
Amaterasu- So what if the fat pain can absorb it? Wouldnt Itachi just try to hit another body its not that hard to figure out. Shinra tensie could block it to i admit but still thats 4 out of 6 bodys done with amaterasu.

Susanno made Itachi go blind and if he was at full power he still would have had injuries from it. Chibaku Tensie is said the shorten Nagatos lifespan and he caughs up blood after it. So why does everyone think both of them are going to use those jutsu so quikly. But yes chibaku tensie would win but Itachi could hit him with susanno before pein finishes it.

YES fat pain can stop ametarasu , tsukuyomi won`t work BUT , sasunnoo with it`s tatsuka is to powerful for pain. Chibaku tensei and shinara tensei won`t work on sasunoo couse it`s spiritual energy and sasunoo is a God.

yes shikamaru broke out of her genjutsu, but you can't break out of hermit genjutsu. because first it RIPS YOUR SOUL OUT making you unable to move your true body. in other words, no breaking your own fingers. then it traps you in a square prison, then before you know it, your on the ground with a massive sword through your abdomen. i'm not saying it's "better" then tsukuyomi, and it does take longer to activate, but once caught in hermit genjutsu, the fight is over. and yes itachi is the greatest genjutsu user in the show, i know that......everyone does

everything you said is right. except one thing, susano'o IS spiritual energy, so it MIGHT not even be effected by chibaku tensei, but that doesn't mean itachi's own physical weight is ignored. that denies physics completely. itachi can't hide from gravity.....nobody can.
-fat pain and shinra tensei defeat amaterasu.
-tsukuyomi might work, but he would need to hit all six bodies which is NOT possible due to the chakra harm MS has on the body. plus pain can just revive the bodies when itachi gets weak after a couple tsukuyomi's.
-susano'o is defeated by chibaku tensei.
we also have to remember that MS isn't the only weapon itachi has, he has great speed and his awesome knowledge and skills of just being a ninja. but overall, i think itachi could hold his own for a bit, but it's just a matter of time til pain hits him with a black sword and the fight is over.
Well.......wouldnt itachi never technically win.... i mean sure if by some weird chance he does beat all 6 paths of pein.....wouldnt nagato still be alive to make more later on?
That would mean Itachi would have to beat all six paths,have enough energy to find nagato(which he probably wont:mangekyou technique side effects and all) and finally give the final blow to nagato.......That would be a bit impossible to do(for Itachi) in my eyes.......no matter how much i like Itachi

OMG. Do not delve into matters you are completely ignorant with like physics. Please your ignorance is obvious and you are ridiculing yourself. If physics existed in Naruto world then Pain would have died when he casted Shinra tensei and destroyed the buildings of Konoha due to the third law of Newton. So please leave this things to people who know.

Amaterasu is unlike Naruto's jutsu FRS,once Itachi open his eye at the target will burn at once,even Pain won't have the time to absorb it

Hard!!!it's so easy and it's godlike power if there is no side effect,about how Itachi will trapped them,he only need one second to trap one of them in his Genjutsu which is "one second in the real world = day or days in Tsukuyomi realm" every target he need 1 second to trap them which totally need 6 second,remember how he trapped Naruto to his Genjutsu and Naruto was with his teammates and that Genjutsu wasn't Tsukuyomi.
It's much easier because non of Pains are long range attack except Demos realm that he has punch which can be avoided easily and simply when Deva path used Banshō Ten'in Itachi will make his Suicidal clone drown to Deva and then explode since Pain can't see which one is real body and which one is the clone.
No,that Genjutsu isn't weak but when Shikamaru was paralyzed he used his shadows to broke his finger while Pain don't have thing to hurt himself to get freed for the Genjutsu.
as I said before Pain's weakness is Genjutsu.

fool even if it is for only a second it still takes itachi alot out of itachi and pein won't even be killed by it, only immobilized for a few seconds(not jiriaya's genjutsu was used to immobilze pein while he stabbed them in real life)
i though for sure bean pein (the robot one), animal realm and god realm had long range attacks :|
naw lower genjutsu's can be stoped by someone else waking you up (5 other peins)

btw her Genjutsu was high level but he was lucky for thinking fast and used his shadow.

No,Itachi's Genjutsu can kill and it's confirmed by Kakashi and many characters in the story but Itachi's was peaceful,he used it without aiming to kill someone
and if you asked how itachi is peaceful it's confirmed by Madara
you should re-read the story chapters about Itachi

I've mentioned about the Demon realm which is the robot one as you said which have only punch that can be avoided easily.
tell me how Deva have long range attack????he only have Banshō Ten'in (as I mentioned) that only drawn the opponent to the user which Itachi has the advantage,and Animal realm can only do summon.

i did, beacuse fat pein burst into flames doesn't mean he can't asrob it also you should use the amateratsu from the manga not the game anyways
well one may notice is that in pein's battles he likes to keep distance from his opponents
can it kill who is already dead? also this it was also confirmed you can break genjutsu with someone else, also you never said anything to avoid the fact itachi normally only uses this MS technique (afraid to butcher name) once at a time, he never uses it more than once because it is too damaging to his eyes :| also itachi was almost out of chakra after using amateratsu and the MS genjutsu once, what makes you think he can use it 6 times!?
