link for where it shows nagato knowing itachi's tyukyomi please. even so if he did it doesnt matter itachi doesnt need to make eye contact he can use his finger genjutsu so nagato closing his eye is meaningless.

What does it take to avoid getting trapped in an illusion technique? avoid eye contact. That much is known by Nagato.

Lol, if he knew about his regular Sharingan genjutsu then no need to know about Tsukuyomi, because the same counter applies for both types of genjutsu.

avoiding eye contact is meaningless your forgetting itachi has finger genjutsu which doesn't require eye contact.

That type of genjutsu is very weak, Itachi would be a fool if he tries it against Nagato, plus it requires hand seals unlike Sharingan genjutsu. Go reread the whole chapter and see how much it took him to cast that genjutsu.

It's a very weak genjutsu compared to the Sharingan's genjutsu, and it can be released by most jonins (most jonin level ninja's knows how to release normal genjutsu).

now he finally casts the finger genjutusu, the next chapter

if this finger genjutsu is so effective then why didnt itachi use it on nagato. he had the perfect opportunity. also why was the only person he caught in his finger genjutsu, naruto who was inexperienced in genjutsu and none of the other people who were looking at itachi got caught. this finger genjutsu isnt nearly as effective as people try to make it look.

It was clearly shown that the hand seals were formed for casting the finger genjutsu, he cast the genjutsu shorty after he formed the hand seals.
