Based on some words. It might as well be a legend, or perhaps Kishi meant it works like magic. There's never been a single occasion where magic was mentioned in the Narutoverse, except for that moment. I need more mentioning of magic in Naruto to start believing that shit.
LMFAO!!!!
So most of the many references on the T.V. Show "Naruto"
Is made up from nothing??
Like it wasn't influenced by any means possible?!
Wow!
Well ok um I'll guess I'll show you?
The Yata no Kagami (八咫鏡; Literally meaning "Eight Span Mirror") is one of the Three Imperial Regalia of Japan (三種の神器, Sanshu no Jingi), together with the Kusanagi no Tsurugi (草薙劍; Literally meaning "Grass Cutter Sword") and the Yasakani no Magatama (八尺瓊曲玉; Literally meaning "Eight Shaku Curved Jewel").
The Imperial Regalia of Japan (三種の神器 Sanshu no Jingi / Mikusa no Kandakara?), also known as the Three Sacred Treasures of Japan, consist of the sword Kusanagi (草薙劍 Kusanagi no Tsurugi?), the mirror Yata no Kagami (八咫鏡?), and the jewel Yasakani no Magatama (八尺瓊曲玉?). The regalia represent the three primary virtues: valor (the sword), wisdom (the mirror), and benevolence (the jewel).
Due to the legendary status of these items, their locations are not confirmed.
The Yata Mirror was equipped to Itachi's Susanoo, in its left hand and, is considered one of the three sacred treasures. It is said to be endowed with all nature transformations and as such changes its own characteristics to completely negate any opposition.
Zetsu claimed that this, combined with the Sword of Totsuka held in its right hand, essentially made Itachi's Susanoo invincible.
