Itachi was afraid to fight might guy even with kisame by his side, he has his reasons for it but i think it was because of his speed and taijutsu skill and might guys isn't even close to being the fastest shinobi without 7th or 8th gate, now when u move onto minato you really thing someone like itachi would be able to keep up with his speed? all he can really to at this point is use genjutsu and I doubt that would work cuz minato isn't an stupid he can counter that shit :/ the flee on sight order wasn't given for any reason..

Minato was able to intercept gai in gates and a couple goududama. Yea he was in kcm but it was strictly an ftg feat, nothing enhances ftg

In Round 1, I can see Itachi lighting Minato up with Amaterasu before Minato even attempts to throw his Kunais around for FTG coz of Knowledge of FTG seals and stuff.

Round 2: Minato wins more times than not..If Itachi doesn't catch him in a genjutsu before Minato throws his kunais around then he's a dead man..Minato either outlasts him or Tags and Bags him

But lets say Itachi does manically keep up with Minato somehow that wont matter because have you ever heard of the Flying Thunder God Technique. It's classified as one of the Space-Time Ninjutsu, which are techniques that allow the users to teleport to another location instantaneously. No one can exceed the speed with using only physical power. the Moment Minato throws his kunais on the ground its over.. and lets say Itachi uses Susanoo that wont be a problem because Itachi doesn't have much chakra reserve which Minato has a lot of because he was able to unlock sage mode and also has the 9tails chakra so all he has to do his tire him out.. :/

plus Itachi blocking the FTG kunai with anything thats not Susanoo is a death sentence, legit the worst thing itachi can do as it opens him up to a lvl 2 blitz so itachi basically has no other option, think about it A single kunai from minato requires some serious decision making on itachis part in terms of how the hell he will counter it... one kunai allows minato to make itachi sweat about something as simple as his next movement in the fight.

Genjutsu is no problem for a teleporter top speedster to avoid the crows do nothing to minato and finger genjutsu was noticed by someone like Naruto cmon u think minato wouldn't notice it too?? The only genjutsu that has a chance here is tsukuyomi Which will never happen due to minatos superior speed and reaction time coupled with FTG teleportation for MS to even track

please tell me if I'm wrong cuz from what I know itachi aint taking this one

Not to mention being a sensor.

None of itachi's techs are actually fast enough to catch minato using ftg and knowing what the seals are doesn't negate them being warp point to escape all danger. Itachi's only means of defence against rasengan is susanoo and even if hes just using ribcage, the strain alone only hastens his defeat.

Scenario 2 is the same as 1, but itachi is less informed.
