Life through dishonor and deception is not peace when it comes to others...look at how sasuke and the other's were made to look at itachi...they are not at peace and everyone thought the massacre was horrible...all under three selfish people's oppinion...
Itachi literally threw his life away for the village.. he did not get to live a normal life at all.... froom the moment they asked him to do the task....13-21 the end of his life, he made himself a criminal...and even after getting revived wants noone to know what really happened...
Minato's entire thing is also noble worthy, though the one thing I dont agree with is what he did in the end.. aka choosing to kill himself? why? because he loved his wife so much that he didn't want to raise naruto without her.... that is kind of messed up... it means he put his wife over his village
ok then look at this
what would happen if kabuto didnt get stopped the shinobi alliance would have a -900000000000000000000 chance of winning that would end the world not just loose the leaf
Minato accepted to suffer for the rest of his life in the reaper death seal all that to save the entire shinobi world by creating the saviour, child of profecy, reincarnation of SO6P by sealing the yang chakra of Kyubi inside him, so i pick Minato

Regardless of that, Kurama would have sided with naruto in any case eventually...from the moment madara got revived
He had absolutely no reason to die that day.. as a hokage he had a duty to stay and protect the village like it was his son... he left old hiruzen to do that job, and thus the whole orochimaru thing happened... he left naruto without a mother and father, for all he knew he would have grown up into a psychopath like gaara..
So lovely everyone is blatantly ignoring the fact Minato threw away his afterlife also and is forever suffering in the Death God for the sake of others.

Here in this page, we see clearly see Hiruzen is saying that the downside of the jutsu is the soul suffers by mingling with the other soul, and then battling for all eternity.

Here we see Minato is saying that he's planning on sealing the power/chakra of the ninetails. Earlier, it said that the soul minlges with the other soul. This is a clear fact. So either the Kyuubi has a soul, and Minato didn't seal it, but only the power/chakra (As stated by him), or the Kyuubi doesn't have one and the chakra still gets sealed. The point is that no matter what, Minato didn't seal a soul, but only chakra.
So far:
Fact 1: The punishment of using RDS is that the caster's soul mingles with the soul of the opponent, and they battle for all eternity.
Fact 2: Minato only sealed the Kyuubi's chakra.
Here we know that Minato was sealed. Meaning, his entire soul is now gone. Yet, here we see that Minato is talking to Naruto simply because he stored some chakra inside Naruto's seal. Again, Minato's soul is gone.

The above is proving that Chakra and soul being two different entities.
Now, I want to show some things of what is shown so far on the Bijuu's chakra. When this chakra is separated from its host, it has no mind or life/soul at all.
An example being the Ginkaku brothers. This guy was still well in control of his own mind. Yes he gained a chakra boost, that's to be expected since he is afterall, acquiring more chakra. But that's it, nothing more. At least we haven't been shown otherwise.

My point to all this is, that the Fox's chakra is merely chakra. And not something capable of stability or having a mind all on its own, let alone capable of "suffering" for all eternity. :?...In which case, Minato is not doing battle with anything. Other words, not suffering.
On the actual question, who do I believe to be more noble? Well of course it's going to be opinionated. No one's choice on this topic can be considered fact. Minato and Itachi are both my fave characters. Minato being second. Minato did a great deed, he did everything that was expected of him as a hokage, and maybe even more.
Itachi went waaaayyyyy above and beyond what is expected of any Leaf shinobi. From a very young age, his life was already doomed. He was separated and hated by the only people that he loved.
So yeah, some may believe that living a happy life and then dying for the sake of the village to be more noble than living a life of hell for the sake of the village and then face everyone's ultimate fate, death. Hmmmmm.
I'll go with Itachi. That's my opinion.
Also, "noble" depends on the viewpoint. From the Leaf's viewpoint, they would consider it noble. From the clan's, of course not.
