It's like you people are f*cking retarded. Kakashi made 20 clones when at near 0 chakra. You don't need loads of chakra to make clones ( and Minato does actually have a lot ), you only need to be able to make clones. They use a % of the chakra, not a fixed number.

1- Obito can't cast genjutsu when controlling Kyubi that already takes him a lot of chakra and concentration, something that Minato probably knew.

2- Not only that but Obito can't phase and use genjutsu at the same time since his head is on the other dimension when he phases in this case(Minato threw a kunai on his head).

3- Minato on the contrary has shown to avoid eye contact while closing the range at the moment he removed Obito's control on the Kyubi
