Not sure tbh. from a versus standpoint. they don't follow by technicalities or situational. so i'd assume itachi would get one shotted simply because kurama is already being controlled by genjutsu. But again, that's if amaterasu snipe doesn't intervene before hand to by him time. plus controlled kurama doesn't seem as intelligent and becomes more predictable. imo

Did obito slip through the flames when sasuke hit him? I remember the flames followed him which I thought implied he was tangible. then he resorted to warping it away in the shadows. I thought the same situation would work here.

It wasn't shown what happened exactly, but Obito got hit, staggered backwards into the shadows and then he came forward with no flame. Either way, regardless of what he chose to do there it's a fact that he can slip through the flames since he can slip through anything physically touching him.
