He probably could. Sasuke could do it, Kakashi could do it, why not Itachi? And anyways, Kakashi doesn't really "copy" jutsus, he is able to read the signs and understand the technique just by looking at it, due to Sharingan's enhanced vision. And then Kakashi is able to do the jutsu too. I'm pretty sure anyone with a Sharingan could do this.

I'm not arguing that sharinganless Itachi and Kakashi goes to Itachi, I'm only arguing you saying that Kakashi having sharingan would lose to Itachi without Sharingan.You are the only worth while person here who i actually take seriously in this thread therefore for you ill burn some time. Ive to go eat first xd, but when i come back youll see why i believe without the sharigan itachi is still the superior opponent. For now ill leave you with this, the only thing kakashi has over itachi is ninjutsu and stamina and in both cases its debatable.
First of all without the shairgan kakashi obviously wouldnt have learnt the 1000 jutsu's he has, if we take the sharigan away you could argue that since its that, that allowed him to learn this jutsu's we should also take that away from him, meaning the only jutsu he showed us without the shairgan was chidori and without the sharigan chidori is a very risky move to use. I do agree that kakashi has however shown more ninjutsu feats that itachi because he has not only been in more fights but also itachi's main fighting style in genjutsu.
Second thing is stamina. How kakashi isnt dead my now is beyond me. its clearly plot no jutsu in motion which has allowed him to continue to fight and even say he would teleport tbb. Now whether kakashi's stamina would increase because of this we dont know therefore he still gets him 3/5. Now itachi due to his illness obviously decrease his stamina and potentially his strength, no different to how sarutobi's old age affected him. Now if we were to estimate itachi's stamina id say its either the same as his little brother at 3.5/5 when he is healthy or due to him being abit holder than sasuke might gain a 0.5 advantage taking him to 4 because its in 20's that your stamina increases and decrease in your late 30's although this differs from person to perosn.
What i find funny the most is how people say without the shairgan kakashi would win, but forget that he has used his sharigan ever since he got it therefore it would feel no different to itachi's not using his sharigan. Itachi activated it at 8, kakashi gained his at 13. If both lost it, it would affect either the same way
In regards to plot no jutsu being the reason for Kakashi's stamina boost, it's very possible. After this(if there is anything in the series after this war), I wouldn't be surprised to see Kakashi going back to fighting for an hour then tiring out, because Kishi will just ignore/forget about him fighting the swordsmen and the tailed beasts in a war that has spanned a couple of days. Although, Kakashi did mention that he was finally starting to get low on chakra when he created the shadow clone to use the lightning transmission, and though he was prepared to kamui away the TBB, he would die after doing so, because Kamui would definitely take everything he had left.
I'm actually wondering if kamui may wind up being the only way to take out edo madara. Would Madara be immune to that like Tobi is? I dunno. Given SOMEONE important has to die in this war at some point, maybe Kishi will kill off Kakashi by letting him take out Madara, letting him die in a way that lets him live up to his legendary status. Unlikely, though.

how can kakashi win when he only has one lighting move? and its useless with out sharigan ?? take away kakashi sharigan and he is nothing.... itachi still a master in genjutsu and a master of kunia moves

i never herd of kakashi opening any gates lmaoooo..... and the first gate isnt anything special lollllllkakashi can open at least 1 gates

k i understand. But if he is so tough why does he tire easily after using sharingan while a true uchiha doesn't. Thats bcuz kakashi doesn't have an uchiha body.
That was stated in the manga against kakashis first time confrontation against itachi
And to be able to do copied techqs u hv to activate ur sharingan

Kakashi has other derivations of Chidori that he can use. He can also use Earth and Water techniques, but not the way he can with Lightning.
