Itachi vs. Kakashi (without sharingan)

I still can't see why people are using genjutsu to debate for Itachi..

He has quite literally nothing that would effect Kakashi when taking away his sharingan..

Kakashi has limited genjutsu defense without his Sharingan. Itachi still has his crow summons to cast genjutsu and Utakata. Kakashi not being immobilized is unsupported nonsense.

Taking away his sharingan doesn't take away his intelligence and battle experience. Simple genjutsu like what Itachi used vs Naruto isn't going to work on someone as experienced/intelligent as Kakashi. Ephemeral isn't going to be good enough.

Naruto went through the technique and it didn't even phase him. He was perfectly fine after going through it. Plus, Itachi was only at 30%, he didn't have a lot of chakra, and if he were to use a high-level genjutsu he would have died much quicker and it would have defeated the entire purpose of him engaging them in the first place.

I don't remember seeing Sakura and Chiyo use any technique to get him out of it, and looking through the manga I don't see anything that suggests otherwise, though I could be looking over it -

I never said Kakashi would beat him without sharingan.

I only said it's incredibly stupid to try and use genjutsu in defense for Itachi, given all he's shown that isn't sharingan related is EXTREMELY weak, not something any high ranking jounin would ever find themselves caught in.

You are missing the point though. Naruto was essentially paralyzed for that time period while Kakashi sparred with Itachi. Genjutsu doesn't have to be expensive or mindcrushing to be useful. Remember Sasuke versus Danzō, Itachi versus Deidara, Itachi versus Orochimaru, etc? The small moments of immobility or impaired awareness can win battles.
