Actually there is proof that only naruto looked at his finger. Go back to that fight, youd see. It didnt show chiyo or sakura looking. You keep on saying that genjutsu was weak, sure naruto isnt the genjutsu type, but he needed chiyo and sakura's help to expel it.

Also as i said lets not forget that this was a 30% itachi clone. As soon as this clone's chakra run out, then they were able to beat it

And yes im referencing to how he not only fooled sasuke all the way to the grave. He implanted amamterasu to ignite at the site of tobi's sharigan. He implanted kotoamatsukami in naruto for when sasuke attacks the village.

Basically as its been said, before he left the village he planned on dying by sasuke's hands and not only did he execute this very well, its almost as if he could see the future by implanting techniques into naruto and sasuke.

It doesn't matter how much chakra the clone has when in a taijutsu battle. Kakashi's clone held his own against pain for quite some time before he figured it out.

Then again, does kakashi really need to resort to using long-term strategies? He doesn't even have the need or the resources like itachi did to pull of such stunts.

Then again, to show how sporting I am at these vs threads, i'll play for the other side as well.

Itachi is a genius as you said, and would be able to deduece a great amount of weaknesses in kakashi's ninjutsus, despite being at a disadvatage for all of them. With that knowledge, he could find a way to use cleverly combine his genjutsu, taijutsu and ninjutsu skills to overcome him in battle.

I would also like to say that if there were no hokages, the sannin were unavailable, and itachi was still a part of the leaf, then kakashi and itachi would have both been the most qualifiable candidates.

You wouldn't know if Itachi is a formidable foe without his Sharingan because he never fought without it, and even has it activated when not in combat showing how much he relies on his darling Sharingan. Kakashi IMO has superior speed, intellect, and jutsu without the Sharingan.

D and Oro would beat Itachi in this condition. On both occasions both opponents were not expecting to be put in genjutsu and neither were out for a full out brawl. His Sharingan was still active, thus this had some affect whether it was his reaction time or something (may be wrong about this part).
