Itachi vs. Kabuto

From the previous chapters when itachi left naruto it looked as if he went to go find some one as he stated "he would put a end to the resurrection jutsu" so im guessing he went after kabuto. Who would win at this point in tthe manga?

kabuto said he had a trump card and another jutsu, so im guessing the other jutsu he has yet to reveal is something good else he wouldnt be so confident, but no doubt if it comes 1v1 with itachi, itachi will turn him into a rat

Er the trump card is madara. The other jutsu i do not remember saying and even if he does it wouldnt change the course of the battle.

Itachi can destroy orochimaru, as orochimaru admitted, but kabuto is smart and we've never seen him pushed to the limit, plus he has oro's power, so it'll be a good fight but I think Itachi takes victory

How do you know it wouldn't change the outcome if you don't know what it is?

I think I remember him saying something along the lines of having another jutsu, which means he wasn't referring to Madara. I'll try to find it, and bring it back if it's where I think it should be. If not then I won't go looking for it and I won't defend it.

To the question itself, it would be very stale if Itachi defeated Kabuto. I honestly do see kabuto taking this battle simply because Itachi's outlived his purpose and he's getting too much un-needed screen time. Itachi is one of my favorite characters, but his purose should be done, he needs to die and be defeated. There has to be a change in the dynamics of this series instead of going in the direction most people want it to for their own fanboish desires. It needs to go in a direction that will actually make the series better and showing the bad guys getting the upper hand a little, instead of the good guys ALWAYS beating the bad guys would be better, and true fans would appriciate an un-expected change.

Also on the previous chapter on page 7 I believe, Kabuto thought to himself, saying he had plenty up his sleeve when he was speaking with Tobi. So Kabuto does have something other the IWR up his sleeve

You mean if your cheesy ass Mary Sue character that never loses a fight, cheats death, does fantastically stupid things (Like kill his entire clan at the age of 13, really Kishi?), has overpowered abilities such as a shield that makes him invincible and an undodgeable sword that kills on hit and who "somehow can cleverly win any situation" loses to Kabuto, you'll stop "watching" the manga?

My Lord, I hope Kabuto embarrassingly rapes Itachi in the most humiliating way ever before destroying Itachi for good.

WOAH! Don't say that! Itachi fanboys will explode into a bloody mess if they realize their forever loved character has gone from being an interesting character to someone who has dragged the story down.
