This battle will be epic Since they avoided a clash in Konoha because the whole city would have been destroyed in the fightxd.

It would be a draw. Maybe a win for Jiraiya, maybe a win for Itachi. Itachi didn't want to fight Jiraiya even with Kisame as backup. So I might give an edge to Jiraiya. Itachi is my favorite character so I am also gonna make the "Itachi owned Nagato argument" to support him as well. So I say its a draw

Dude, itachi could´ve used amaterasu on jiraiya when he and kisame was talking about taking him on.

What do we know about Itachi? He´s a genjutsu master and what do we know about jiraiya? He´s not good at genjutsu, itachi uses genjutsu to open fights and he relies on genjutsu untill someone overcomes it.
Itachi will take this one, Jiraiya is oros former comrade so it´s safe to say that if oro failed against itachis genjutsu that j-man will also.

I can see Jiraiya countering most of Itachis Jutsus with relative ease. Amaterasu is simply a matter of evading, and to not end up in a genjutsu just don't look into his eyes. Jiraiya is way too seasoned for all that in my opinion and I give him the edge in taijutsu as well. The only thing I see Jiraiya having trouble with is Susanoo which could very well be the deciding factor. All in all the only way I see Itachi winning is trough Susanoo, and the only way I see J-man winning is if he uses ma and pa to use the toad chant or if he outlasts Itachi.

Jiraya has the advantage in ninjustu but if itachi decides to use genjustu before the match begins then i'd say its over

Without Sage Mode yeah he'd probably be burnt to a crisp, but with it I think he could dodge Amaterasu.
