Itachi vs Jiraiya

I bet SM could last more than susanoo since its gather by natural chakra, while susanoo drains your chakra, and when that happens itachi will just be taking rasengan barrages, until he dies.
and genjutsu wouldnt be a prob, since he has ma & pa, to snap him out of it.
If i recall itachi once said if he were to fight jiraiya he would most surely die.

Jiraiya has absolutely no defense against Amaterasu or Tsukuyomi, other than not looking at Itachi's eyes for Tsukuyomi, which makes him vulnerable to Amaterasu.
Summons can be put in genjutsu, and Itachi wouldn't be like Pain and let Jiraiya run into the sewers to get into sage mode.
His large summons are super easy targets for either Amaterasu or the Totsuka sword, (not to mention turning against Jiraiya because of sharingan control)
If Jiraiya is not in sage mode Itachi is way faster than him as well, and if Jiraiya does not start out in sage mode then genjutsu ends this battle before it even starts.

if he managed to evade 6 rinnegan users he can manage a sharingan soloand if jiraiya teached naruto to snap out of a genjutsu by himself, im sure he can aswell.
Jiraiya probably figured out how to beat amaterasu already, remember when he gathered data on amaterasu a long time ago when Itachi attacked Naruto and Sasuke before the time skip. Tsukuyomi can be broken out of or avoided but its very difficult still I think Jiraiya could manage it. Jiraiya has great deductive powers, he was the first to figure out how the paths of pain work and he could figure out ways around Itachi's abilities. Even Itachi said that every jutsu has a weakness.

he might have figured how to avoid amaterasu but i doubt he has the speed it took a lightning body flicker + v.2 raiton armour just to move away from it

Let's see, Jiraiya went into a sewer to avoid the Paths. Unless there is a sewer handy everywhere in the Narutoverse then Itachi can find him. That isn't even a real argument.His incredible SM speed is enough to evade amateratsu.

Ma and Pa can't break anyone out of Tsukuyomi. Do you know how Itachi's Tsukuyomi works? It takes place instantly, all the ways of breaking out of genjutsu take place in real time, which means that the only way to break out of Tsukuyomi is inside the mind, which only an Uchiha with Sharingan can do.
So that argument is nullified.
And let's see Jiraiya taught Naruto how to break out of genjutsu? Yet Naruto wan't able to break out of genjutsu made by a 30% chakra clone of Itachi in Shippuden. And Oro wasn't able to break out of Itachi's genjutsu, and Oro is way better in genjutsu than Jiraiya. Deidara coudn't break out of it.
And by the way how is he going to get into SM?
Dude I get it Jiraiya is an awesome character, he is the most likable and is funny, but he can't win this unless he were to start out in SM and Itachi didn't try.

lol It's all gravy, I'm in the same boat but what can you do? The truth is the truth. This thread has been made more than enough times for people to have the perfect argument. Amaterasu can't be dodged by a base Jiraiya, and by the time Jiraiya whips out the scroll to seal the flames he will be toast. Ma and Pa won't be able to break Jiraiya out of Tsukiyomi fast enough for it not do any damage. It's one second in real time, if it was Sasuke's Tsukiyomi then yes, but this isn't the case. Jiraiya loses if he starts in base, no ifs or buts about it. Sage Mode Jiraiya stands a better chance, and even then it's no easy task.J-man is one of my favorite characters, I really want to say he'd win but..It's not looking so good for him.
