well if j man went sage mode its a really bad match for kisame with the whole turning to stone thing and about itachi i dont know reallt lol

actually if kisame only absorb j-man jutsu he won't turn into frogs, like what happened with preta path when he absorb jiraiya giant rasengan in sage mode, but if kisame take it directly from J-man then its all over for him,

and as for itachi reason to retreat at that time is most likely because he was exhausted after using 2 tsukoyomi in 1 day and with that condition there is no way itachi can put up a good fight with someone like jiraiya.

I think he means it he said even with more of us the outcome will be the same he know that jariya is strong than them

Jiraiya's Ma and Pa's genjutsu is stronger, it's clearly pretty much impossible to break, since it completely seals your mind and body, it would render you almost impossible for a person to break it.

Now Itachi's is incredible powerful too, since it only takes a second it's impossible to break, but at the same time, if the person who is in the genjutsu can survive and handle it so he/she wont end up in a trauma or such, they will be able to fight on, which i believe jiraiya would be able to.

So Jiraiya's is better since it gives him time to strike, also it takes several seconds even for a skilled user to break the genjutsu.
