When did he beat Nagato? I think you are 100% wrong about this. Nagato not only killed Hanzo but all of his guards by himself.

And when it was just the three orphans, Hanzo had Root ninjas and his own to back them up and he still had to run away because they all died.

Please post facts, don't make things up.

He also fought the Sannin before they were good. They were in their teens and it was a large battle with many people on either side. Hanzo was the only survivor on his side and the Sannin were the only survivors on their side.

He didn't "fodderize" anyone, please reread those chapters.

They might have been sannin after the battle but they were low jonin at best.
The jiraiya that fought pein and the oro that fought sarutobi would wreck hanzo.

Hazo hasnt shown us anything which even makes me think for a second that he could beat itachi. Look at it this way, the way the edo's were on the battlefield. Nagato and itachi were together. The kages were together. Then hanzo was with kimimaro and chiyo. I hope you see what im trying to say

Yes hanzo is the reason nagato lacks mobility.

When nagato or pain killed hanzo we don't know what the hell hapened . For all we know he was in the same situation as jiraiya when he fought pain. We'll just have to wait for the anime to properly explain everything,

It is as simple as this.Amaterasu kills Hanzo.
Hanzo is not nearly fast enough to dodge this so Itachi wins.

I suggest you go back and read that chapter. Hanzo did run away once the Gedo Mazo statue was summoned. That is just a manga fact.

hanzo in his prime could take out itachi. poison breath means you cant get close. genjutsus pointless since even if hes paralysed, you still cant get close to him without getting poisoned. itachi has no known antidote counter

Totsuka blade, Amaterasu, Yasaka Magatama, or basically any jutsu can follow up the genjutsu. Getting close isn't a problem at all, since essentially Itachi is a long range fighter.

More to the point: Hanzō stated that he would never take his mask off against an opponent of Mifune's caliber if not for his status as an immortal undead. As such, he didn't remove his mask against the Sannin or Nagato, and wouldn't do so against Itachi.

The Sannin Hanzō fought were far younger and weaker. There battle was long before Orochimaru completed the White Snake transformation, before Tsunade invented Genesis Rebirth, and likely before Jiraiya had access to Fukasaku or Shima. Their animal summons didn't appear either.

Nevertheless, Itachi would likely be "on par" with the three Sannin in their base forms given his undeniable domination over Orochimaru in single combat, and Orochimaru plainly stating that it was an impossible dream for him to defeat Itachi - even though he had Edo Tensei!

Genjutsu. He has started every battle with it, and the only people to get out of it have been lucky due to clones (kakashi), or his brother, who didn't see through it all, as well as it being possible to argue that Itachi didn't want to catch him in a genjutsu (since he didn't want to win that fight).

He made Deidara almost kill himself with a regular genjutsu, he beat a genjutsu expert with one (Kurenai), and he caught Oro in a genjutsu instantly when he tried to ambush Itachi. He also caught Naruto, Kakashi, Sasuke, and Bee but Bee got out due to his being a perfect jinchurikki and wielding Samehada.


So I believe my point is made. Itachi starts off with a genjutsu, and follows it up with, well anything really.
