Itachi vs deva path

Pain was already caught in a Genjutsu before. If Jiraiya can, Itachi can also. And now don't start with the Genjutsu type, the typ doesn't matter, Itachis Genjutsus are stronger than Jiraiyas. Itachis action will indeed be faster since he is known for using his illusions already in the beginning of the fight. When the fight starts, Pain will already be in an illusion without even realizing it. After Itachi can use his Amaterasu or Magatama in order to crush Pain. Sure he can repel both with Shinra Tensei, but due to his interval Itachi will crush him right after anyway.
Infact, Itachi is faster than Deva, he can use his illusions, Amaterasu or Magatama before Deva will use Chibaku Tensei.
I guess Itachi could even use his Amaterasu on Deva during he gets attracted by Chibaku Tensei. Being attracted doesn't prevent him from using Amaterasu.
If Itachi is going to use Amaterasu in order to hit Deva directly into his face, I guess that this flame will destroy Devas Rinnegan immediately since eyes are very sensitive and couldn't withstand even a second in fire.
Itachi wins anyway.

Actually the type of genjutsu does matter if u take into account how its casted, one is casted by sound an the other by sight...2 completely different things an once u think about it im sure ull agree.Not to metion itachi is known for his genjustu, lets not forget they were both in the same clan.Pain knows alot about itachi's abilities, itachi doesnt know pains abilities.An since pain knows alot about itachi, he'll know not to get caught in a genjustu by him, they didnt call him leader for nothing.
An the amaterasu wont work on pain cause he can since the the air pressure when its about to b used which has already been shown, an as fast as he is it will never hit him.An it will leave itachi open for an attack

I dont think itachis genjutsu kills ppl,even if it does,it doesnt matter,rinnegan is the most powerful eye and its really not clear if genjutsu affects rinnegan.

What makes you think Pain won't get caught in genjutsu just cause they were on the same team? That just bias if you want to defeat Itachi you have ccounter his genjutsu period.
Pein will have to counter amateretsu with shinra tensei like the manga has shown leaving an opening for Itachi in the 5 second interval. Itachi's shunshin is fast enough to get to him in that time. Itachi taijutsu will take over from there. Easy win for Itachi.
Your counter for Itachi's susanno is just ridiculous.
In short Pein has no answer for Itachis paralysis genjutsu and superior shunshin.
Leaning towards Itachi,as Tendo is alone and doesn't have the necessary protection in the form of Gakido to absorb repeatedly Amaterasu or Katons,nor any note able genjutsu resistance.
Itachi could capitalize on the 5 seconds cool-down.
Tendo could use his gravity moves but Itachi could simply respond with partial susano'o manifestations or a full sized one if Nagato uses the greater Shinra Tensei
I believe this goes to Itachi considering the fact with a single genjutsu Itachi can create the needed opening for the sniped Amaterasu or a plethora of other offensive moves while Tendo on the other hand becomes predictable after some time,and overall is less versatile.

No? :'D Deva can attract objects with his Bansho Tenin during Amaterasu arises in Itachis field of vision. Thus Itachi can look into Devas face in order to cast Amaterasu there. Don't worry about it, the eyes precision is sufficient for doing this during Bansho Tenin attracts the whole object.
I ask myself why I answered your silly question at all.

Pain deffinitly getting caught in genjustu is what u hope will happen not what will happen
Them bein on the same squad means pain knows his stlye well an wont get caught in it easily, no1 in there team really knew pain besides konah or watever an tobi, he doesnt even know what he can do
An deva path would destroy suasnoo i dont care whos it is
Itachi's taijustsu isnt takin out pain in 5 seconds lets b smart...

every part of someone's body is a whole object in and of itself, however the entire body can also be a whole object. bansho tenin can attract anything it pleases
Nagato can easily disperse the amaterasu with shinra tensei and then attract itachi's eyes out.
As much as I love Deva Path. He would lose. Itachi can easily cast him in a genjutsu.

Itachi also has many ways to change the battle.... Pain is smart but I think Itachi is better when it comes to tactics. And besides, Pain doesn't know any Substitution or Shadow Clone Jutsus, but he has Almighty Push which can be his strength or his weakness, because everytime he uses it, he needs to wait for like 5 seconds before he can use it again..... what if he fails at first and aims to do a second one? Itachi has 5 seconds and that is enough for him. If your thinking Pain could just use combat or whatever when this happens, I may have to disagree because Itachi is better when it comes to hand to hand combat because he is a former ANBU an he was trained well. Pain/ Yahiko was only a stray in his past life. So I really think it's Itachi whose gonna win....

if banshou tennin was so precise that it can pull out a nail from a wood then it is also possible that tendou can use banshou tennin to poke out itachi one eye. that means no susanoo, totsuka, yata mirror(and depending on what eye he will poke out) amaterasu or tsukoyomi. LOL I wonder why I never thought of this before.
Im at itachi's side in this fight but after reading this idea I might go to tendou's side again.lol
