..sigh. Obviously Itachi.

If Tendo forms Chibaku Tensei, Itachi ignites it and him with Amaterasu. If Tendo repells it with Chibaku Tensei, Itachi will immediately use it again, seal him with Totsuka no Tsurugi or kill him with Yasaka no Magatama. Genjutsu works as well, and summoned crows are a good way to distract Tendo and force him to use Shinra Tensei, too. Way too many opportunities for Itachi..
I don't think Amaterasu could burn the core before it sucked him in, if you mean repel it with Shinra Tensei then yes, but I don't think Itachi could use 3 Amaterasu's one after another could he? It does take a considerable amount of chakra.

I don't see Itachi rushing into Susano'o so I don't think he'd seal him straight away, I don't see Deva falling for Itachi's famously powerful gejutsu to easily, and he definitely wouldn't waste a Shinra tensei on crows.

I think it may come down to if Itachi cast's Susano'o first, or if Deva casts Chibaku first.

Of course he can. One glance is enough to hit the core with Amaterasu. During it takes time until the core has flown up to the sky, Amaterasu arises directly in Itachis field of vision. Thus, Amaterasu hits the core before it starts to attract Itachi. And even if it starts to attract Itachi before he uses his Amaterasu, he can do it during the pull as well. A few rocks won't protect the core from Amaterasu since Amaterasu burns anything and thus the few rocks.

Yes, I meant Shinra Tensei. Amaterasu drains a considerable amount of Chakra indeed, yet Itachi used it five times in a row when he 'fought' Sasuke. Three times are definitely within his capabilities, if necessary. Anyway, I was talking about using it before Tendo throws the sphere, burning it in his hands, igniting him along with it.

That comes down to how seriously Itachi takes him. If there's an opening, Itachi could and would seal him with Totsuka. It's only a matter of time until he uses Susanoo, and as we recently have seen Itachi does not underestimate his enemies. If Tendo doesn't repell the crows, they'll distract and worst case attack him, giving Itachi an opening for Totsuka again. And I see Tendo falling for Itachi's famously powerful Genjutsu indeed.

Again, I'm saying the ORB itself its quite durable, so Amaterasu may not be able to destroy the orb before Itachi gets sucked in

Oh dear, it takes to much time until you get crushed by Chibaku Tensei. When Nagato used Chibaku Tensei, Itachi had the time to hold a conversation with Naruto and Bee, explained them how this technique is working and furthermore how to stop it. After Bee had the time to make a joke and to transofm himself into the Hachibi. Of course Amaterasu will burn the core before Itachi gets crushed by Chibaku Tensei.

Itachi can beat the 6 paths (high difficulty)... What he can't beat is Nagato himself, or at least he has less chances to win than has Nagato agaist him... And, he would have much less chances agaist 6 paths AND Nagato in the battlefield at the same time:

Itachi VS 6 paths of pain: 55% Itachi wins 45% paths win
Itachi VS Nagato (alone): 40% Itachi wins 60% Nagato wins
Itachi VS Nagato + Paths: 30% Itachi 70% Nagato

So, statisticly wise, Nagato > Itachi > Paths... At least, that's my oppinion! U_U

Alright, thinking over everything you guy's put forward, I think Itachi will win.

I was slightly clutching at straws, but now I've reconsidered it all, Itachi wins.

Even if Deva can avoid Genjutsu, he won't evade more than 1/2 Amaterasu's, and I don't think Deva would use Chibaku tensei straight away, although I still don't believe Itachi can break the orb before it sucks him in, I do believe Itachi will win before Deva get's a chance to use it.

That's nice to hear.

Fanboys over there :sy:.
Srly guys, Pain kicks Itachis ass. He controls the gravity, he can pull Itaschi out of Susanoo of oush him away with a huge shinra tensei. And if he uses celestial terra phere he just gonna crush Itachi. Yea I like Itachi but no way for him to counter Chibaku Tensei.

Only fanboism :sy:
Someone please tell me I didn't look this idiotic when arguing for Deva :( ?

Anyway, it's only Deva path, not pain, and even if he won Itachi, it would never be an "ass kicking"

Well, there will always be idiots on both sides. Someone just said that Chibaku Tensei couldn't harm Itachi thanks to Yata no Kagami, a statement that I'm not even close to support by any means.
