Itachi vs deva path

Deva Rapes Itachi

The TBB and the rasenshuriken were needed to destroy the rocks which were increasing in size and covering the black core. One attack from itachi is never enough to beat chibaku tensei. Because the rocks are attracted to the core and the mountains add to the chibaku tensei.
So even though part has been destroyed before the black core inside, it will just grow back and increase in size so one attack from itachi is not enough to hit the black core.
Amaterazu wont get to the core in time before itachi is dragged in.

That's not true. Chibaku Tensei increased much in size because Itachi has hold a debate with Naruto and Bee. Put out this chitchat and attack it in its initial stage and a TBB is not needed. Why isn't it impossible for Amaterau to burn the core? Because you don't want see that Itachi can manage it? For Chibaku Tenseis activation you first have to throw a sphere in the air, already this takes a few seconds. Amaterasu on the other hand arises directly in Itachis field of vision, no matter whether it's a person or in this case the flying up sphere. At the moment when Nagato will throw his sphere up, all Itachi has to do is to target it and hit it directly with his Amaterasu in order to burn it.

Further, you understimate the power of the Yasaka no Magatama. Madaras Magatamas managed to break Gaaras and Oonokis superposed perfect defenses, although sand by itself has already a very absorbing property, so can dampen hits very well. Hitting Chibaku Tensei with 20 Magatamas in its intial stage could be sufficient to destroy it.

Just think about it, it's an option.

Anyways, Itachi takes this with low difficult. I mean you can't demand from Deva to beat Itachi by himself, Deva Path by himself is not far enough to beat Itachi with his abilities.

Itachi's not getting close to him due to shinra tensei and he has no counter for chibaku tensei.

To all the people saying "Tsukuyomi and it's over", that dead body won't feel the effect of the torture, as seen by interrogation on animal path during the invasion of Konoha.

And Nagato knows about Itachi's prowess with gejutsu, I don't think he'll be going 'under' that easily

I also don't think that Tsukuyomi will work, but other Genjutsus. Itachi can use his Genjutsus even through his crows, he can also summon them to attack and annoy Pain.

And he also knows about Itachi's genjutsu prowess so he won't be put under that easily

Of course, they don't cause damage but are very annoying. Look at the several times Itachi has used his crows against his opponents. They are annoying, distracting and obscures. It's not about he could kill them that easy because they're very nimble. This is the reason Itachis crows are always very useful.

And don't worry about Itachis Genjutsus, he was always able to catch his opponents in his illusion although they were aware that Itachi is a genjutsu specialist. He can cast Genjutsus any time and provoke it. Coming back to the crows, through them Itachi can also use Genjutsus.

Itachi doesn't have his Genjutsus and Mangekyou only. He is also very fast, can use elementary techniques and things like exploding Kage Bunshins, he makes very good use of weapons and is very smart.

I seriously can't believe that Deva is in your eyes superior to Itachi, but it's your opinion.

Unless Deva Path does not immediately use Chibaku Tensei, without looking in Itachis eyes, I dont see how he can win and avoid Itachis genjutsu.

I don't think that at all. Itachi is far superior as a ninja to Deva path alone.

What I'm saying is Deva is well equipped and has a few jutsu which Itachi cannot counter.
