Jiraiya's Genjutsu was successful because he had partners ofcourse. While the two old frog sages had the paths in a genjutsu Jiraiya was able to move around freely and kill the bodies.

Itachi does not have the luxury of moving around freely while his target is in a Genjutsu. All Itachi is doing is stalling if he puts Deva in a Genjutsu, no matter what kind because in order to attack Itachi will have to first release the Genjutsu and since a zombie path cannot suffer from mental damage (like Kakashi) for Itachi to capitalize off of then as soon as the genjutsu is done Deva can continue his assault on Itachi like he was never in a genjutsu in the first place.

@Blaze, didn't Orochimaru squirm when in Itachi's genjutsu? If he did the Deva could move his eyes, and also, like I said maybe 2/3 times, I'm already going with if Itachi can cast it it would work [genjutsu]

Might i also add that, susano in its v1 form is always around the user. It always follows the user theefore there is no such thing as pulling anybody out of susano, if its in v1.

If he does a large scale Shinra Tensei, it's gonna throw Itachi or topple him over, and as Chibaku is a fast jutsu to cast, then Itachi may not have time to, as someone so elegantly put it, "Fire 20 Magatama's at the orb", and even if he did, he'd be prone to attack from Deva whilst concentrating on the orb

He's not exactly slow, and Magatama isn't renowned for speed, is it? I don't think it's crazy to suggest he could dodge it, unless I missed someone talking about the speed of it

oh, I've heard Deva is that fast. Susanoo can throw these Magatamas across the field. I don't think he will be able to avoid 20 of them by just dodging. Anyways, Itachi also can use Amaterasu, for example directly into his face to burn out his Rinnegan. I mean, eyes are very sensitive and couldn't withstand fire, or could they?

Large scale shinra tensei isnt a wise move at all. Its the large scare shinra tensei that caused deva path not to be able to use its technique for quiet some time against naruto. If it uses that against itachi who is in susano, he would survive. Whilst deva path hasnt gained back its abilities he is a sitting duck.

Itachi already knows the weakness of ct, but hasnt shown a technique to destroy it by himself. However, i do not believe ct would be a factor unless deva path start with ct xd. If he doesnt start with ct, itachi will beat him before he can get to use it

I guess you forgot that he can fly at breakneck speeds.

Visual genjutsu doesnt work on a dead body. Is this an excuse, because you can then say the same for sound genjutsu or is it because we havent seen this, it cannot happen. Regardless a visual genjutsu has already worked on a dead person. Shiui's doujutsu genjutsu ka worked on itachi.

Yes they are dead are but they heard the frog song genjutsu, an they have eyes to see so itachi genjustu will work on them, an yes nagato did repel Amaterasu but he was badly injuried but thanks to bein a edo he regenerated, deva is no edo so another Amaterasu would destroy him.

If he does that from the start, then yes itachi loses as he hasnt shown a technique strong enough to end it by himself. But if it was a battle, i believe he would be finished before he can use ct
