I believe he did use Izanami as well, but I think he missed.
Also Ofcorse Itachi is not dead he will just regenerate while he's an Edo.

I'm really not gonna jump to conclusions. Kishi did this to generate buzz and he did damn good. It's tricky because, what did Kabuto use to slice Itachi in half? Was it the Talisman or a chakra scapel?

Honestly, I'm still hoping that when Kabuto is defeated, it shows Itachi standing at the "entrance" of the cave having never moved xd
Although I know that's farfetched and has way too many plot holes to actually happen, there's just something hilarious about people coming out of genjutsu after thinking they've been fighting for hours xd
Anyhow - I hope you're correct that Izanami was activated and that Kabuto goes "bye bye" next chapter AFTER "finding his true self" or whatever.

while in realty, itachi just owned him like a boss
If you noticed, Itachi lost his right eye meaning that Izanami indeed is activated. Kabuto lost the battle, but it's possible that he kills himself just before Itachi makes him undo the Edo Tensei. That way Madara won't dissapear anywhere.

So why when he loses his eye now people are saying maybe it's izanami like we haven't seen eye's disappearing before
