After recent chapters of showing how careless Madara can be in allowing Sasuke to stab him with a sword. Totsuka blade could pierce and seal Madara. This is why Kishi wrote Itachi off and out of the series. It was due to this moment where Totsuka would 1 shot madara

Idk....Madara knows full well about the Totsuka. I think he knows how to escape it, as it can be escaped. Oro did it, correct? I mean look what he did to Amaterasu.....Obito Sennin Mode had to perform gestures to negate it. Madara did it without lifting a finger. Idk.....I believe Itachi could but I can't see him doing it with Madaras knowledge on it. Plus I don't want Itachi to do that because it will take away the greatness of Totsuka as Madara would surely make it look ineffective. My opinion....
