Hm, my first Itachi and Sasuke fanfic. Its kinda short but its also sweet and kinda depressing. Enjoy.
?Hey, Itachi, is something wrong?? asked the voice. Itachi looked up from a book he was reading. ?Yes, mother, everything is fine.? He said smoothly. Itachi was only 7 years old and he was already doing things like this. ?Well, alright. If you need anything just ask.? His mother, Mikoto Uchiha , said. Itachi looked at the swell in her stomach. ?Mother, when will it be born?? he asked. ?Honey, it?s a living thing, not some tool. Besides I hope it?s a girl. Should be born soon though dear.? Mikoto said with a smile. Itachi reached up, gently placing his hand on his mother?s large stomach. ?What is it, Itachi?? she asked, curious as to his actions. ?Mother, would you love them?? he asked. ?The baby? Why yes, I would. I would love them just as much as I love you.? She said, smiling brightly. ?Well, then I must make a promise.? He said. Mikoto gave a questioning look. ?I will protect them, I will never let anything happen to them. I will make sure they are always happy.? He said. Mikoto closed her eyes, bent down, and hugged Itachi. ?I promise too.? Mikoto said.
1 Year Later
Itachi sat in his room, listening to his baby brother begin crying on the other side of the wall. Mother and Father were asleep, since it was the middle of the night. Itachi didn?t sleep very often, being the strange boy he is. His brothers cries were getting louder, and Itachi didn?t want his mother or father to wake up. So he quickly left his room and went to his crying brother, Sasuke. Sasuke was in his crib, his legs were kicking bit and he was crying. Itachi walked over and looked down at his brother. The moment Itachi came into Sasuke?s view, Sasuke began to calm down. Itachi smiled and reached down to pick up his brother. Sasuke was a little heavy, but hey, Itachi is only 8, most things are heavy. Itachi held his brother, then sat down on the floor, holding Sasuke like in a cradle. Sasuke?s tiny hand grabbed onto Itachi?s shirt, as if for dear life. Itachi sighed. Sasuke was so happy suddenly. ?Itachi?? came a sleepy female voice. ?Mother?..? Itachi said. Mikoto wiped her eyes then looked at them. She then grew a big smile and sat down next to them. ?Mother, my promise still stands? he said, looking down at Sasuke. Mikoto smiled. ?Your brother will be a happy boy.? She said, ruffling Itachi?s hair.
4 Years later.
Itachi walked down the street, his hands in his pockets, his bag slung over his shoulder. He had a long day. He was going to go home, finish some homework, then go to bed. He was really tired. He came up to his house and opened the door. ?I?m home?? he said. Within a few seconds, feet could be heard slapping the ground heading his ways. Next thing he knew, Sasuke was hugging him. ?Welcome home!? Sasuke said, still holding him. ?Big brother, do you wanna play a game with me?? Sasuke asked. ?No?? Itachi thought, still tired. ?Sasuke, your brother has homework.? Mikoto said, carrying a basket. ?Aw?? Sasuke said. Itachi sighed. He really didn?t want to do this but, if it meant keeping Sasuke happy, he would happily do it. ?Mother, it?s ok. I can do my homework later.? He said. Sasuke smiled brightly, then ran off to go clean up the toys he had been playing with. ?Itachi are you sure?? Mikoto asked. ?Yes Mother, my promise will be kept.? He said. ?I?m surprised you still remember that.? Mikoto said, smiling. ?It was a life time promise. I can?t forget it.? He said.
2 years later. Itachi age 14 Sasuke age 7
?When you have the same eyes as me, come back and fight me.? Itachi said, Mangekyo Sharingan blazing. Sasuke fell forward, only to stop himself. ?How did this happen?.? Itachi thought. Itachi jumped away, only to hear Sasuke. ?No!? he yelled. Sasuke jumped following him. Itachi stopped and suddenly, a kunai hit his head band knocking it off. ?It?s official?? ive made him absolutely hate me?.? Itachi thought. Sasuke was panting loudly, kneeling on the ground. Itachi bend down and grabbed his head band. He was so upset, he didn?t even put it on right. When he looked at Sasuke, he couldn?t help the lone tear the fell down. Then Sasuke fainted, hitting the ground hard. Itachi turned, wiping his face. Tears were a weakness. But breaking a promise was worse.
7 years later.
?It?s been a long time.? Itachi said out loud, to Kisame and Naruto, who stood before him. ?Sasuke.? Itachi said, unknowing to everyone how fast his heart was racing at the second Sasuke?s Chakra entered the hallway. ?This can?t be?. Not now?? Itachi said, turning and facing Sasuke. ?Itachi? Uchiha?? Sasuke said. Itachi didn?t move. He couldn?t show how devastated he was inside, to see the hate and angst smeared across Sasuke?s face. It hurts.
3 Years later.
?Those eyes?. They?re mine?.? Itachi spat as he stumbled toward the sweating and tired Sasuke, who was pressed against the wall. ?This is it?.? Itachi thought. Sasuke was terrified. They were both out of chakra. Itachi still had the upper hand. Itachi was closing in on him. ??.it?s time?.? Itachi thought. Itachi was right in front of Sasuke. Sasuke?s eyes got wide, as Itachi?s fingers planted themselves right in the middle of Sasuke?s forehead. ??.to fulfill?.? Itachi thought, looking at the wide eyed and scared Sasuke. Itachi dragged his fingers down Sasuke?s face, as he fell and hit the wall, then sliding down to lay down. ??.the promise?? Itachi thought. ?Are you happy now Sasuke? Have I protected you long enough?? Itachi thought, his eyes opened, yet, all he saw was white. Felt the rain hit his face then, after a crack of lighting and thunder, heard someone next to him fall to the ground. ?Goodbye?.Sasuke?.? Itachi thought?. His last thought?.
Damn, I suck at writing this junk! Well I hoped you still enjoyed it. I don?t know why I like writing this really sad and depressing stuff, it just came to me. XP
