I officially respect Itachi

now dont get me wrong, i mean what i say when i say he's not a good person or a good spy for his village.
but...i like that he has finally owned up to his crimes and what he did to his brother. i like that hes found the wisdom he lacked in his youth, and finally is choosing the right path and stopping the evil he should have stopped long ago, orochimaru and his legacy.

but i take back what i said about him being irredeemably evil and nonsensical. he was in a bad place back then and sasuke is finally understanding a little bit of what itachis intentions were (to be judged for his crimes by an uchiha, and hoping that uchiha would walk a good path).

he's still an overpowered gary stu and hes still pretty boring. but i respect him.

Itachi's a ****

As I've been saying all along Itachi turned Sasuke into what he is today and blatantly admitted that in the recent chapter.

Seriously though Itachi made Sasuke's life a living hell and made him hate everything and he can't even stop to even look Sasuke in the eyes and talk to him.

Sasuke may be doing some messed up things but Itachi owes him an explanation face to face and what is Itachi doing? Exactly what Sasuke said he's being a coward because he can't face his little brother whose life he made into a living hell.

Itachi was always a neutral character to me but with this latest chapter he pretty much lost my respect.

He is the tragic hero, the dark knight. In my opinion, he's the most interesting character. Not because he is strong or something, and he's not my favorite, Shika is.

This time, he has to entrust the task to someone else, in that case to Naruto.

What Itachi tried to do is something else... He tried to make himself the villain and Sasuke the hero who would redeem the Uchiha's name. He failed with the last part, though. Sasuke's retarded, seriously. Why would you go against the VILLAGE when the people who ordered Itachi to slaughter the Uchiha clan are already DEAD(except for the two elders, who are basically one-shot kills)?!

Understand it - Itachi is one of the good guys. It's just Sasuke who can't understand what was done for him.

Because trying to help stop a world war isn't nearly as important as saying sorry to your little brother. He's atoning for killing the clan by ending the Edo Tensei. It seems a bit more important than explaining his entire life to Sasuke right now.

We still don't know the story about the massacre, we can't believe tobi, itachi intentions where good so I won't say he's a bad guy but if I was sasuke I'd do the same thing

I see what you mean. But we all knew that Itachi failed with sasuke. Some people just couldn't admit it because their "love" for itachi. The task with sasuke is up to naruto.
