Each of the novels cover a portion of the blank period between the final two chapters and perfectly fit within the timeline that Kishimoto himself wrote.

In fact, there was an official timeline released especially for this series of novels, which is something that only "The Last: Naruto the Movie" received.

Its Canon alright... Kishimoto hired all this author and supervised their work and even released a timeline for the novel itself,

Interesting. I didn't know anything about the canon-time line release. That does make them canon, I suppose.
