Itachi saving Sasuke is another plot induced inconsistency by Kishi

I mean this is getting ridiculous. What reason did Itachi have to protect Sasuke with susanoo when Sasuke could've used it himself?

There isn't a reason. The way I see it it's just another way for Kishi to show his love fetish for Itachi and downgrade Sasuke the way he's done to other characters who come in contact with Itachi, for example, Nagato, Bee, and Naruto.

I mean seriously it's ok to have a favorite character, but when you go into downgrading others to make your favorite one look good it tends to get a tad annoying. Kishi's now done it 4 times with Itachi. It's like he's trying his hardest to make him look like a Mary Sue.

Sasuke hasn't shown any hugely new prowess (that he can use currently anyway), so it's not an inconsistency. And the reason is because Itachi's making sure Kabuto isn't killed. come on, How likely is it that Sasuke will keep his emo temper down during a fight. Seriously.

Sasuke's reacted to much faster attacks, so that really isn't a valid excuse.

That's not the point. Sasuke could've easily protected himself with susanoo, so what reason did Itachi have to do it for? Not to mention the attack wasn't even aimed for Sasuke, only Itachi.

It's purely a ridiculous inconsistency by Kishi no matter how you look at it.

Maybe Sasuke isn't that strong afterall. I mean he always had help in the battles or his opponents were nerfed by plot-no-jutsu. This is his 1st battle against an OP opponent and its clear that he sucks ass [even with the EMS].

Or Itachi saved Sasuke because he is his little brother and even though he realizes Sasuke could have protected himself as well, it was probably his instinct as the older brother to protect his little brother. That's something I think most older sisters and brothers would do when they see that their younger siblings could be in trouble/danger. We all know Itachi loved Sasuke, so his reaction to protect Sasuke was only normal in my opinion.

Ppl don't get it. What he is sayin is that kishi nerf other ppl or make other ppl look stupid to make itachi look good e.g naruto,bee and itachi vs nagato and itachi and sasuke vs kabuto.
