[Discussion] Itachi & Obito took out own clan?

Why would Tobi want to take out his own clan? To protect the leaf? Doesn't add up,
Also the manga shows Itachi giving Tobi orders on not to harm saskue, what did Tobi gain from destroying his own clan.

Itachi had reason as did Shisui according to the manga,
Madara would have had reason but Obito? Discuss!

It's said that only one with the MS can breakt through Tsukuyomi, so perhaps he just wanted to be sure that there will be noone except him and Madara witht he MS when IT is casted

Well the most logical answer is that since in today's manga Obito said he is now Madara then in order to pull off that deception he would need to take on all of the beliefs and feelings of Madara one of which was his hatred for his own clan.

There is also the possibility that the moon's eye plan could be defeated by Uchiha members who did not want to live under an illusion so in order to pull off the plan at some point they would all need to die.

remember that madara passed his will on to obito and madara had a grudge against the uchiha who pushed him out.... not to mention obitos/madaras plan is to create a world where the dead can live again....... this includes the uchiha its possible obitio thought that it doesnt matter wat happens in the current world as it would all be fixed once the plan is complete

While Madara was dead, Obito had to pretend as Madara. He had to carry Madara's name, legacy and past grudges as well. Obito had to have a grudge against Konaha just as Madara so everyone would believe he was Madara. If Obito would have acted as if he had nothing against Konaha no one would have believed that he was Madara in first place.
