I see you're trying to twist his character just so he can be hated shame on you. He already admitted to making a bad mistake in lieing to Sasuke. He admitted to his failure.

Revaluation of Itachi:
After reading all of your responses, some of them very colourful in their insults...:noc: ^ the post above me is one that rly changed my opinion tbh.

I have revaluated my position. After much, much, much consideration I do think Itachi is a hero and deserves High praise. I'm not a Minato fanboy and won't go near Minato vs Itachi anymore with a 10 foot pole. Note I'm not taking this lightly I read quite a few responses and have decided that he is a hero and did much for the village.

I won't go into what he did, that's obvious but I will say I unfairly judged him at the end. He was simply making peace with sasuke and spending a last moment he had with his brother happily.- which he deserved.

To Itachi fans that have read my threads:

itachi savagely and brutally mocked, lied to, beat up and mentally raped 7 year old sasuke then told him to kill people for power, offering up an innocent person as a lamb for slaughter.
broke the wrist of sasuke then brutally beat him into a coma via mental rape he may never have awoken from had tsunade not returned to the village.
was about to let kisame mutilate an innocent child just to make sure naruto wouldnt escape.
itachi ruthlessly and sadistically tortured kakashi for no reason for 72 hours.
itachi put thousands of people in danger and indirectly responsibel for tens of thousands dying when he spared orochimaru and deidara.
itachi did nothing about akatsuki for 10 years and helped them murder ninjas whos only crime was having a demon in them. he withheld vital intel about them which could have saved lives and is a serious warcrime/treason.
threatened to commit high treason by spilling konoha national secrets to enemy villages
planned to brainwash and enslave a child against his will by abusing shisuis power.
ordered the attempted murder of 3 jounins
commited mass genocide and condoned danzo's course of action of destroying every single uchiha even if the plan could be stopped by simply letting shisui use KA, avoiding anything and anyone dying.
did nothing about danzo which endangered the entire world, not even bothering to avenge his friend.
did nothing about oro for more than 10 years and let kabuto run loose. not even bothering to avenge the man who protected sasuke for years.
selfishly did not even blink at the news his friend and comrade had died.

He can never have the courage to take the step itachi took to save the village........

he can never be sadistic or evil enough to kill his own family. he'd prefer to give them a fair trial after beating them without killing them.

danzo saved konoha. the fourth world war thing was a distant possibility only.
sasuke saved the "world" from kimimaro and chiyo. rest of edos were already beaten or did not vanish. since itachi could never have won by himself. but i like how you ignore sasukes contributions.

would you still feel about him as a hero after hes murdered your parents with a katana then broke your arm/beat you to near death/forced you to relive that horrific act of murder over and over for 72 hours?
