Itachi No hero! But a good brother.

I never saw him as a hero and this chapter confirmed it, he was not thinking about the village,or for his own clan,his father, his mother, but for his younger brother,whom he himself made an avenger, and his current action's doesn't mean shit to me,why, because he is a dead men, and your actions are only valid when you can perform them in your life, he got lucky to get a 2nd chance,if not for that he was a failure (he said it himself).

Although i understand what he had to go through, but it was his choice and his alone.

Itachi was not the Hokage of konoha, just a ninja who was given mission, he could have choosen to save his clan, but he didn't, but minato was the hokage and it was his DUTY to save the village, so he have to do it whether he want or not.

Saving an entire village by sacreficing his own clan, destoying his own reputation and picking up the mantle of a criminal all for the sake of his village and again even after dying saving all the counties from edo menace is not enough to be a hero.

Maybe talking might not haved worked but we can't predict that and it was still an option. Let's assume it didn't though. I believed Itachi was a hero till this chapter and your right he wants what is best for his brother but will put him in front of the villiage meaning he is not a hero.

I absolutely agree with you! Itachi as his father said was too kind! Plus he was a KID for crying out loud! What i think is that an experience of an older person is not comparable with the genius mind of a KID! Hasn't anyone see that Itachi was also figuring out life! He was given a horrifying mission at that age when he was still a child! If he was older and had experience of "life" he would have done something better! He admitted himself to Sasuke that maybe Sasuke would have changed their parents because Itachi couldn't do it! So please don't critisize his character anymore! I still can't stop myself from crying after reading the chapter. It was heartbreaking!

comparing two characters i love the most,great.look imo both are heroe .but i have to agree one of them has failed and another one has succeed. no one is perfect. to me itachi sounds more like a victim ,had to make his own decision at such young age while minato was his responsibility to save everything and get prepared for any risk as he is a hokage.

people might dont realise this,but the reason they believe that itachi is a better hero because he had gone through such tragic life at a very young age,bearing all the pain and being disdained by those who know nothing about him. but the fact is we all know he has failed. while minato has saved the world,i mean his sacrifice isnt worthless.

and i agree with someone who posted this : it depends on how you define "hero"

Itchi did more for his village than minato. don't forget if it wasn't for itachi naruto would have been killed by nagato. and minatos plans would be screwed.

preventing a world war by sacrificing the uchiha + putting an end to this war >> saving the village from a demon fox .

Not just that minato fanboy,
Itachi is more powerful than minato in terms of offence
Itachi is more versitile than minato
Itachi is just as smart if not smarter than minato in terms of battle feats
Itachi died younger than minato.

If it wasnt for minato naruto would never have excisted.......

Tough one, but I give this one to Minato because Naruto is going to save the WORLD, and we all know his father is one of the biggest reasons for Naruto's success and strength. For putting that "demon fox and ruining his life," I say now you're trying to twist his intentions. Why is Naruto a badass? Along with many other things, but mainly because he befriended ALL the tailed-beasts including that "demon fox" that he now calls Kurama
