Something I didn't get to earlier;

Kisame can handle Gai in speed, strength, and taijutsu. Kisame can also absorb jutsus, and Samehada could likely use the partner method for breaking genjutsu if Kisame can't handle it himself. He will solo Itachi with the Shark Dance.

It's not a bad match-up.

It's not clear to some people that Kisame would be defeated by Itachi.
Itachi isn't my favorite character or anything, but he's definitely above Fish Stick.

Look at what Kisame's up against;
  • Genius
  • Skilled Weaponry
  • Above Average Taijutsu
  • Genjutsu Specialist
  • Sharingan: Mangekyo

Now look what Itachi's up against;
  • Lots of Suiton
  • Samehada

In a 1v1 close combat match, Itachi would have the edge. The only thing I'd worry about is Kisame's Chakra eating Shark Ninjutsu, but Itachi could find a counter to that. He specializes in Genjutsu, so I don't think he'd let those Sharks actually touch him. Not to mention that Itachi could easily keep up with Kisame's Kenjutsu because of Sharingan; duh? Furthermore, it wouldn't be that hard for someone like Itachi to evade and move against a big weapon like Samehada.

Now his High-Ranked Suiton Ninjutsu could pose a threat, but Itachi can still get around it. Any small Water Ninjutsu Kisame can do, Itachi can just avoid it and stand on top of the water.
Water Release: Great Exploding Water Colliding Wave is what I'm talking about in particular. That dome could cause lots of problems for Itachi, but I can see him defeating it;

When Kisame does the Jutsu and floods the area, Itachi simply activates his Susano'o with both Legendary Weapons in hand. He jumps up, which makes his Susano'o jump in sync. Then Itachi pulls out the Yata Mirror and places it under his Susano'o. His Susano'o would land on it and keep it under itself the whole time with one if its Arms, thus keeping all the water out. Now there you go; Itachi now has an Offensive Submarine. He then controls his Susano'o to swim and be mobile. After he does this, he can use Yasaka Magatama and Toutsuka Blade to end Kisame while underwater.

I just thought that Itachi could easily defend against a giant water Orb using a Susano'o and big shield as a water stopper. Why hasn't anybody else has thought on this?

Discuss how Kisame could possibly defeat Itachi in a 1v1, or take my side and explain to others why Kisame loses if I didn't make it clear enough from the above Text

Of course Itachi is more powerful and would beat him. Even kisame knew this and even said it one time. Itachi was the more powerful of the two.

Yeah this is new to me. I thought it was obvious that Itachi was better than Kisame.

Sometimes I wonder if Samehada could pull Kisame out of genjutsu.

If so, game on baby.

And Itachi already said Him and Kisame combined, with reinforcements, cannot beat Pervy Sage.

Yeah.... Kisame actually has quite the chance against Itachi. If I am in the mood, I'll post why I think this tomorrow.
