sasuke is doing this after he lost every thing but itachi did what he did to lose every thing i mean if his family him and his brother are no more part of the leaf why protect it he lost every thing that ties him to it he should of tryed to save them both

He had to do what was best for everyone at the time. if the uchiha were to have started war with the leaf there would be total chaos in the land of fire; countless lives would be lost and the uchihas credibility would be tarnished forever. But he didn't want that to happened, so he killed the uchiha while they still had their honor, he kept sasuke alive so that he would one day kill him and be known as the hero who avenged the uchiha's killer and start a new generation were the uchiha would be just as respected in the leaf as they were. He kept his parents honor by instead of letting everyone know them as the traitors who started and led the coup d'etat, but as the parents whos child restored the uchiha back to the way it was. But things didn't turn out that way, but that's just part of life and itachi did everything he could to make it work.

they could have come with a compromise, the elders could have told the clan that shisui is the next hokage or something. Uchiha were repressed and did not have much power in the village as senju even though they were equal in strength in terms of clans. ppl are gonna rebel if they are opressed for too long.

there is nothing they could have done to make them stop. the uchiha wanted nothing but revenge and if they didn't get it they would have felt an emptyness inside that would never goaway unless they attacked the village.
Itachi was always a good person and still is to have no bad feelings toward the leaf even love them shows that he has a big heart
What he did was horrid but he did it for the betterment of alot of peoples lives. He knew what would have happen if a war broke out not only more people would die but the village as a whole would be at risk to attack from rival villages.

Let's look at it this way: Itachi killed the entire Uchiha clan. Man, woman and child. He killed both his mother and father in cold blood. He killed every Uchiha villager. This included the elderly and children.
Itachi could have simply killed all the men of the village while sparing the women and children. He did not. He killed them all. Arguably, the Uchiha could've gone to war with Konoha. (But let's be real, they would've lost if Itachi could single handedly kill the entire village in a night) Though, Itachi probably should've just murdered the Uchiha clan leaders without killing every single person.

Itachi had no other choice. If talking about it with both sides was an option then he would have pursued it. If he could have somehow saved his family, his friends, even his lover then he would have tried. His mission to exterminate the Uchiha was unavoidable. I'm not saying it wasn't unforgivable. He just had no choice.

I agree. it was selfish of them and even insulting to have the uchiha eliminated by there own.
