Hey if your gonna blame itachi for the jinchurriki then you might as well blame the rest of the akatsuki members. And you can also blame konoha for ordering itachi to kill his clan. You can blame the five great nations for the destruction of all the other smaller nations. So singling out one person doesnt really make the argument any stronger. Itachi is my favorite character and he knows what he did was wrong, but everyone in naruto did something that they are ashamed of. i have a feeling this thread is gonna be closed soon, threads like this usually start wars.

The third was acually aware of what was going on but he could do nothing to stop it. He tryed to stop the elders but it was one against alot. Konoha elders where planning on sending ambu to kill the clan. Come on would you seriously wanna get slaughtered slow and painfully or fast and quick? Itachi made it fast and quick. And besides the uchiha clan where planning a coup d'état against konoha and im pretty sure they would have killed everyone who got in their way. :shrug:

Why wouldn't I blame the rest of Akatsuki? They were in on it too!

"Konoha" did not order Itachi to kill the Uchiha, it was Danzo and his two cronies.

And it's not "The Five Great Nations" that start wars. Only a Kage or a Daiymo can start a war.

The Third did not know about the kill order until afterwards, otherwise he would have intervened. Besides Itachi made a decision without the Thirds permission anyway.

I still like itachi. At first i used to hate him alot, but then i learned his story, it was really sad. The fact that he would ruin his entire life for his brother, you have to admit thats generous. And i agree with you all the people he killed for no reason isnt acceptable except for his clan. I guess people look at things differently, and good arguments can be made of both sides soo yeaa

regarding the jinchuriiki, none of them except Naruto is an ally of Konoha. The shinobi nations aren't exactly at peace with one another; what was it, three years ago, that the sand ended up attacking konoha? What he is doing at those times is completely in line with "defending konoha", which is an admirable thing from the point of view of konoha.

regarding kakashi, if itachi had wanted to he could have ripped kakashi, guy, and whats-her-face to pieces with susann'o. He didn't, and no one died. If he is evil, what was the point of coming to Konoha?

regarding naruto... I dunno. To avoid looking like a softie in front of ol' shark face (who IS a true believer, after all), he had to have SOME, akatsuki-sanctioned, reason for coming to konoha. And who knows? He knew it was Jiraya with Naruto... perhaps if he had actually successfully abducted Naruto, he could have signaled Jiraya somehow, and the same thing that did happen, would have happened.

Think of him like an undercover cop. When you're working undercover, you have to pretend like you're a sonofabitch, ALL THE TIME. Sometimes, in really shitty situations, circumstances force your hand; either you have to do something that actually IS shitty, or blow your cover and get yourself killed, and then be powerless to prevent or at least ameliorate the situation that was so shitty in the first place.
