itachis a brutal insane twisted and murderous psychopath.
- repeatedly and coldly inflicted mental torture/rape on a small child, his own brother. inflicted 3 days of nothing but mental torture on kakashi and ordered the executions of asuma and kurenai for no reason
- did not do a single thing to slow akatsuki down and only helped tobis plans by capturing jinchurikis, and not passing any intel to the nations that could help the nations prepare. kabuto got intel out to them so why not itachi?
- offered up an innocent person as a sacrifice for sasuke's MS. to itachi it does not matter who sasukes friend is as long as sasuke kills them and gets the power to kill him. and it doesnt matter how many friends he kills trying to obtain it.
- wants to genjutsu sasuke into protecting konoha, but has shown no regard for all the other defenceless civilians scattered around the world, otherwise the genjutsu should be protect all civilians)
- is supposedly traumatised by war
- repeatedly bitches out, mocks, manipulates and insults sasuke and his clan. sasuke, because hes a **** and wants to encourage sasukes hate, and his clan because he believes they are pathetic and he is not, which is a psychopathic trait of thinking your better than everyone else).
- indiscriminate in his slaughter of uchiha clan. if he wanted to minimize casualties he should have helped the uchihas take power. the only people who need die were a few elders. compare that with the butchering of his family and entire clan, most of which would never hurt a comrade. he spared sasuke because he loved him but couldnt be bothered saving his mother. mikotos reward for loving her son for 13 years and taking care of him is being brutlaly gutted and butchered in her sleep, then itachi forced sasuke to watch his mother being killed repeatedly for 24 hours. and still itachi expects sausk to turn out a perfectly sane and heroic man, protecting konoha. itachi has no understanding of how the human mind works, another psychopathic trait.
- did not even try to warn then about how hes letting an evil criminal into the village to help him murder the clan, so that they may kill two birds with one stone and end madaras threat then and there.
- spent 5 years in akatsuki watching orochimaru make hundreds of people suffer brutally yet did not do anything to stop him. not even to avenge the third, who protected sasuke all these years.
- planned to commit high treason against konoha and pass all intel and secrets to hostile nations, which would start a world war.

why would konoha be destroyed? uchihas were no threat if konoha thought they could be taken out by a single anbu captain. and if they truly were so powerful that they could defeat an entire village in a full scale war, or at least hurt it so badly that they cant stop other villages, then they should have just stepped aside and LET them have power. its better than a war.

no he didnt. he didnt care about the village, only sasuke. if he cared about konoha he would have passed them intel to them about akatsuki. even kabuto helped them more than itachi did
The third was acually aware of what was going on but he could do nothing to stop it
actually he could do alot. he could surround the clan and tell them they know about the coup and will all be killed if they try anything, then cart off the ringleaders to jail for trial of conspiracy. or he could have the ringleaders assasinated and the rest placed under house arrest/anbu watch. or he could simply let uchihas take control, which is better than the village declaring war on their new rulers.
Come on would you seriously wanna get slaughtered slow and painfully or fast and quick? Itachi made it fast and quick
and a loyal good guy anbu wouldnt? the pain they would feel killing comrades they fought wars with would be alot more than itachi killing the clan he thinks of as pathetic. he thinks hes not pathetic meaning he thinks hes better than his clan). and i dont call what he did to sasuke fast and quick. it was a lasting mental destruction.
And besides the uchiha clan where planning a coup d'état against konoha and im pretty sure they would have killed everyone who got in their way
so did itachi. the clan was in his way and he butchered and gutted all of them brutally. weve seen their personalities. they were kind of arrogant but never evil. theyd avoid killing if they could help it. all they wanted was to be back in charge and to be respected as a founding clan.
Itachi is my favorite character and he knows what he did was wrong
then why does he insist on making everything worse? hes had 5 years living with the slaughter of his clan in his head yet he continues inflicting horrifying torture and ordering executions).
