itachi is a murdeorus selfish traitor. he helped murder the jins in cold blood and in such a way that basically ensured the akatsuki got their hands on living nukes. he could do what you said but thatd require a brain and care and concern for others besides his brother.
but like sanbi after a few years they would have come back
sealing doesnt mean dying. you cant just respawn out of a sealing pocket dimension
. I'm just trying to say that if he wanted to stop Akatsuki from getting all 9 beasts he could've done it quite easily,
