Itachi can easily defeat Orochimaru as proven when Orochimaru tried to take his body and failed miserably.

Itachi COULD HAVE Killed Sasuke but it was ITACHIS PLAN to die by his brothers hand.

Itachi DEFEATED nagato with the help of naruto and bee but lets just remember it was Itachi's Susanoo who dealt the killing blow & was the MVP in that fight.

ITACHI is the only one other than Madara to escape the Edo tensei and regain consciousness.

ITACHI is the one who used Izanami to release Kabuto's jutsu and give an advantage back to the 5 great nations.

Itachi is a great ninja and is NOT overrated for his intellect nor his skill. His brain compliments what his physical and jutsu related abilities are and work amazingly well despite his lack of chakra reserves.

And btw no we can't compare Sasuke to itachi anymore BECAUSE Itachi never even got his EMS where Sasuke does THANKS TO Itachi.

About this topic it's alway the same with some people beliving there favs are unbeatable like Itachi ,Sasuke and reanimated Madara .Itachi was a very powerful shinobi easily in the top ten of all time most powerful ninjas.
His story is a sad story being maded to help his best friend kill himself, forced to kill his family because the clan's lust for power which would of kill many and caused a war .Forced to hide his true actions from Sasuke in order to protect him .Allying himself with Tobi even going as far as killing the jinjuriki's, fighting Sasuke to the death while making Sasuke believe he was a monster until his death .Then after death was worst part hearing Sasuke had turn evil from Sasuke himself must of killed him inside.
To sum up Itachi is one of the strongest charactors in Naruto, not talking about his streght his resolve even after everything he went through didn't wavy (unlike Sasuke) even after death he never held a grudge and died with a smile on his face.

you mean the same manga that showed gaara brushing amaterasu aside like it was child's play?,utterly bullying madara's susanoo and then dragging him out of it?,fighting 5 madaras with complete susanoo and not get genjutsu'd once?,fighting for two days straight,using high level techs and also keeping his sand armour on throughout?,walked out of a meteor that wiped out madara and his susanoo as well as thousands of shinobi that actually ran away from it as well as levelled the area?,has a techique to easily counter sharingan genjutsu?,is already true to himself so izanami is useless?,can turn his envirnment into a sand box in seconds?,and did all these not even in a dessert?. Gaara and itachi is either way in a neutral area, in a dessert gaara rapes hard,whether he is in susanoo or not,he is still walking on and surrounded by nothing but sand,he dosent even know about gaara's sand techs anyway while gaara knows the ms jutsus in detail,itachi's stamina is well below average,he can't hold susanoo for more than six minutes,any ms jutsu blinds his eyes and further weakens him,susanoo zaps his life force and so on. So much flaw..... Gaara cannot brush amaturasu aside... that was blaze release not amaturasu, big difference in speed. Also he walked away form a meterior only be cause of ooniki. Thirdly he has no counter for susanoos sword that seals anything it pierces, or itachis tsykiyomi...

itachi is a martyr plus a genius, though he was manipulated but tobi, he still used it to his advantage...

Actually itachi was not manipulated by tobi, thats the reason tobi didnt dared to attack konoha while he was alive.
