Animal path: Did you really think Kisame would act alone. The man you killed was one of Sasori's subordinates, Sasori wasn't happy about it though.
Itachi: So you used that jutsu to transfer Kisame's chakra.
Animal path: 50%...I'm suprised you weren't pushed to the Mangekyo, So Kisame was right...we really needed more of his power.
Itachi: So it was all a test?
Animal path: I wanted to weaken you and also gain information on your powers for this battle. You have less than half of your chakra left due to using Kage Bushin so my plan worked. On top of that, Kisame tells me you're sick?
Itachi
silent)
Animal path: So its true...
Itachi runs away. The bird gives chase
Animal path: You can't run, its already over.
Itachi summons a lot of crows and they fly towards Animal path and the two paths with him
Animal path(thinking) Is he trying to blind us?
Asura path launches missiles which destroy the bird and they continue to chase Itachi who has now left the road and is now running across a nearby lake. Asura path launches missiles at him from the bird and he expertly dodges them as he runs quite a long distance. Itachi suddenly stops. The bird carrying three of the Six Paths of Paiin charges at Itachi at great speed. Itachi turns around revealing his Mangekyo with one eye bleeding. Seeing this Animal path and Asura congregate behind Preta path,Itachi fires at the three paths but Preta path absorbs it much to Itachi's shock but some Amaterasu ignites on the bird wounding it, the three paths jump off and the bird dispels. The Preta path charges at Itachi who uses Fire Element: Great Fireball Technique but the technique is absorbed. While Preta absorbs it, Asura charges at Itachi with his eyes closed to avoid being caught in an illusion while Animal path stays close to watch the battle being the eyes for the Asura path.
Itachi (thinking) They're within range
Suddenly Itachi explodes! Animal path uses his panda summon as a sheild, Asura leaves the blast range by propelling himself with chakra boots but sustains a little damage while Preta absorbs the part of the blast coming towards him.
Animal path(thinking)That Itachi. I underestimated him! He switched with a clone....he must have done it then when we were blinded by the crows. There's only one thing to do now....
Animal path summons Deva path.
Deva path: I'll have to use that jutsu.
Elsewhere real Itachi is running through the trees
(Voice) So you even outwitted leader...though you don't look too good.
Itachi turns around and sees Kisame.
Itachi keeps going but stops when he spots another Kisame in front of him.
Kisame: I'm curious to know...Why?
Itachi: Akatsuki lied to us, Leader is not the true leader. That is why came to Akatsuki as a leaf underrcover agent.
Kisame: Huh?
Itachi: There's a man behind the shadows who is controlling Pain. Uchiha Madara.
Flashback of Kisame talking to the man controlling Yagura.
Kisame(thinking) so he's the one pulling the strings? No, I can't be sure.
Kisame: So what is Akatsuki's true goal.
Itachi: To control the world using genjutsu.
Kisame flashes back to Tobi
Tobi: It will be a world of truth and not lies.
Kisame(thinking) so it is him!
Kisame: So Akatsuki is still another product of lies...

Kisame: I'll join you. I can't let Akatsuki suceed.

It starts to rain
Kisame: We're friends aren't we? I can't stay wrapped up by Akatsuki's lies. I won't be forced to kill another one of....
Itachi: Kisame be on guard! He's tracking us...
Kisame: Huh? Who?
Itachi: The rain is filled with his chakra.
Missiles launch toward Itachi and Kisame. They dodge. The Six Paths of Pain appear!
Asura path: seems I missed.
Deva path: What is this I hear of treachery, Kisame?
Kisame: It was you who betrayed me, Pain.
Deva path(silent)
Kisame: so its true.
Itachi: We'll have to fight together. He's very powerful and I can't take him alone in my condition.
Kisame: Alright! Samehada seems to be hungry anyway!
Kisame uses Samehada to give Itachi some of his chakra.
Itachi: Kisame...
Kisame: I still have plenty left.
Deva Path: I'll end you both, you are a threat to peace.
