I voted ''NO'' because if Itachi killed him how would Danzo obtain his eye, unless he got Shusui body when he died Itachi was invovled in alot of stuff it just doesnt make sense to me. But thats just my opinion

I still dont believe Itachi kill him.ACTUALLY; Shisui was Itachi's best friend who had been found dead by the Konoha Police. Itachi was SUSPECTED as the murderer.

Itachi did seem to be genuinely surprised by the news and the note. Maybe this was how Madara got Itachi's attention by getting rid of Shisui's spy job. Danzou couldn't picked up the eyes some time after.

I'm sorry I just think it's fairly obvious that he killed him. look at the next two pages after the ones you quoted. as they leave you see itachi put on an evil face and activate ms. danoz was (probally) in charge of part of the anbu or if not a high up and he got part of shisui's body and had oro implant it into himself
