Is Itachi's sharingan powerful enough to control the Kiyubi?​

Maybe. But i think a sharingan can do it only when Kurama is out (not sealed inside someone).

it's not just having the mangekyo sharingan or the eternal mangekyo sharingan. I don't think Itachi would ever even care to. I mean, we should all admit that Madara was powerhungry and Itachi wasn't. In the end, Itachi never even needed power because he already had it and unlocked it himself. Without a doubt, he was the least (if having any) greedy Uchiha member. Now that I think about it, Itachi was completely different from the rest of his family.
