Itachi as ANBU Captain

It has been repeated on many occassions that Itachi became an ANBU captain at the age of 13 but from the fillers, Itachi has only been shown as a third in command in Team Ro behind Kakashi and Yamato.

What's up with that?

Since Shishui just died and gave him the MS, He should be 13 or very close to 13 by now. Considering immediately after this is when they come to suspect him of killing Shishui

So anime is most likely runing the main story as usual. We'll see what they do in the next episode

It's impossible for Itachi to be immediatly Anbu captain, he had superior when he joined Anbu, kakashi was eventually one of them since he knew what Itachi was capable as he said in part 1.

When he was 13 Kakashi probably already left anbu since he'd be like 22.

They've already made quite a few mistakes anyway in this arc. It's not canon and Kishimoto is not working on it.

By now, Itachi is 13, that's how old he was when Shisui died in the manga. He was then accused of killing Shisui not too much later and not long after he carried out his MS mission. In the anime according to the last episode, he should be 13 and captain by now. Kakashi should leave by next episode or soon, and if he does not then it is most likely just another mistake on the anime team's part.
