Itachi gave the torch of saving sasuke to naruto. Itachi is also arguably the smartest naruto character, so I would say if itachi says he can't save sasuke and it's up to naruto, it's pretty clear it's up to naruto

I think they would never fight again now that sasuke know's truth about hes brother.. i think itachi is only 1 that can end sasukes hatred.. but dunno if sasuke is still determined to destoy konoha after what they done to itachi, maybe even itachi can't hold hes anger.. but in the end.. who would understand sasuke more than hes own brother.. NO1.. not even fakeass caveman naruto. 
and i think the moment itachi and sasuke meets first they talk sh*t and finally when they are stopping this madness. madara or who ever tobi is xd will kill itachi and show hes real identity and sasuke goes [beastmode] and show is on

this is a nice theory... but I really doubt if Sasuke will ever come bACK From the darkness.
